NET CONTROL STATION SCRIPT

Good evening ARES/RACES members and guests.

This is [NCS Call Sign, Name and Location], net control station for this session of the San Luis Obispo County ARES/RACES Training Net. I am operating from [location] on [date].

This Net meets every Tuesday at 1930 hours local time on the 146.670 MHz repeater. This repeater is located on TassajaraPeak, north of Highway One on the Cuesta Ridge. Repeaters are also maintained on Mr. Lowe, east of Highway 101 on Cuesta Ridge, at 147.360 MHz and at 443.425 MHz. All repeaters have standard offsets and a 127.3 PL tone.

This is a directed Net. Please do not transmit unless directed to do so by the Net Control Station.

The purpose of this Net is to perform a weekly test of emergency communications equipment, provide training in emergency procedures, and exchange information relating to emergency readiness.

You are all invited to attend the general membership and training meetings of the San Luis Obispo County Communication Council (SLOECC) and ARES/RACES. Meetings are held in the auditorium of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s AdministrationBuilding, located on Kansas Avenue near CampSan Luis Obispo, off Highway-1. There are 9 meetings per year, at 1930 hours on the 4th Wednesday of January through June, September and October, in November the meeting is held on the 3rd Wednesday. There are no meetings in July, August or December.
