ABSTRACT

Abstract should be written in Times New Roman 11 point text justified with single line spacing, should be between 150-300 words. This document should be used as a template for writing the actual paper, a prerequisite for paper submission. This should be referred to as a set of instructions while entering the text in the template. Abstract will be accurate, non evaluative and concise. Title provided should be not more than 70 characters.

Keywords: Keyword1, Keyword2 (Maximum 5 keywords)

1. PAGE LAY OUT

Use A4 size paper single column portrait layout. Top, bottom and side margins will be 25 mm. Normal text will be Times New Roman 12 regular. Normal text will be left and right justified

2. PAGE STYLE

Page numbers will be inserted at right hand side bottom in Arabic numerals. For inserting equations use equation tool bar in MS word. Equations numbers in bracket as (1), (2) should be right justified as shown in (1) below

Normal text will be Times New Roman 12 point size except in abstract where it will be Times New Roman 11.

3. LENGTH OF PAPER

Paper inclusive of text, table and figure should not exceed 10 pages. Papers are to be uploaded in word format.

4. SECTION HEADINGS

Only three levels of headings will be used, that is main heading as these one and two levels of sub headings as below. Acknowledgements and references are the two main headings which will not be numbered.

4.1 Level 1 Headings

Main headings will be in upper case left aligned and numbered in Arabic numerals. Acknowledgement and references are two main level headings which will not be numbered. Level 1 heading are the main headings of a section.

4.2 Level 2 Heading

Level 2 heading be must be in title case left aligned and numbered as an Arabic numeral

4.3 Level 3 Headings

Level 3 headings will be in bold italics Times New Roman 12 point size and title case.

4.3.1 Level 3 headings fonts

Level 3 heading font must be 12 point bold, italics as the heading just above and as shown in Table1.

5. Tables Figures and Graphs

5.1 Tables

11 point Times New Roman size will be used for the contents of the table. Table heading size 11 point, bold will be provided on top of the table and centered. Font sizes are mentioned in the Table1 below.

5.2 Graphs

Colors used in the figures and graphs must contrast well. All labels must be readable. Use standard packages for drawing the graphs. Figures and tables must be referenced in the main text. Captions of graphs and figures must be provided at the bottom and will be of a font size as 11 point size as shown in Table 1 above. Caption for the figures must be provided at the bottom of the figure. Refer to Figure 1 on the next page. Figures and tables must be numbered in sequence. The captions should be centered. The figures and graphs must be checked on screen as well hard copy print out. Images should be in .jpg format.

6. CONCLUSION

Conclusion part should highlight the main findings of the work, but should not be a repeat of the abstract. Tables and figures should not be cited in conclusion. Conclusion could be represented point wise as below.

The following conclusions are derived from the present study:

(i)  The magnitude of maximum scour is found to…..

(ii)  The shape of scour hole is a … degree polynomial…
