/ Connected 5802 enclosures to the 9179 using SPCN and RIO cables provided in this auction
Connected 9179 to an HMC (not part of auction) and added power to the 9179
Allowed POST to complete.
Once HMC was communicating with the 9179 instructed the HMC to power on the 9179
Captured screen shots of the HMC showing information relating to the 9179 (seen at the bottom of this report)
Completed a diagnostic test on all units.
All systems tested and working fine
NOTE: 24 of 32 processors active
NOTE: 288Gb ram configurable of 512Gb installed

Cosmetic Summary:

Please document cosmetic condition of asset. Include exterior and interior summary:

/ #1 5802 pallet box, packaging materials and chassis containing various installed parts is undamaged
#2 5802 has a small hole in the side of the pallet box. The packaging materials and chassis containing various installed parts is undamaged
The 9179 ship group box was squashed strapped to the 9179 pallet box. The 9179 is also squashed in places.
Firstly the ship group box has evidence that it has been stood on. Parts inside the ship group box are ok
The 9179 chassis has the following issues
Both orange shipping brackets secured to the front and rear of the chassis are bent and twisted whilst still secured in place
The front right left of the 9179 chassis is bent outwards. The fan module in the front of the unit bent in place at this point
The front right locating pins for the black bezel are slightly bent outwards
The 9179 back left corner is bent. (looking from the front of the unit)
The housing for the RIO modules is bent.
The housing for the PSU modules is bent
The 2 most right I/O slot housings are bent towards the first 4 I/O slots
The upper most processor cable connector is broken in the rear
