Important: This position requires a thorough knowledge of the end uses and construction process of pre-engineered and conventional buildings and extensive travel throughout Western territory.

SALES & MARKETING MANAGER – WESTERN CANADA

The Sales & Marketing Manager – Western Canada will report to Brands President.

Requires 5+ years of direct sales experience, focusing on building strong relationships with metal building builders and is responsible for direct sales and promotion of Metl-Span ICI products to qualified installing Contractors including General Contractors, Architectural firms, Design Build firms, and targeted Owner/Developers in Western Canada. Execute assigned sales plan to meet and exceed territory quota and target goals by obtaining the maximum possible sales coverage and penetration of designated accounts in Western Canada. The key deliverable is the recognition of viable opportunities. Research, develop, influence and persuade end-users to utilize Metl-Span products focusing on the value proposition rather than simply price driven decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability and proven track record of managing themselves autonomously

·  Comfortable with targeted cold-calling (exceptional phone skills are critical)

·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·  Develop lasting, mutually beneficial customer relationships with qualified installing contractors and general contractors for Metl-Span products, NCI affiliates companies and internal Metl-Span departments and associates

·  Meet or exceed annual sales goals assigned and business development goals through specification development and substitution efforts

·  Development of targeted architectural firms, engineering firms, design build firms and owners for specification efforts aligned with the strategic direction of Metl-Span (as directed annually)

·  Analyze prospects, markets and growth opportunities

o  Follow a complete and consistent evaluation methodology

o  Prepare documents and clearly present

o  Effective project management up to execution of strategy

·  Effectively teamwork with peers, management and customers

·  Planned, Active and Cost Effective travel within the assigned geographic territory is required

·  Provide weekly & monthly status report submitted in timely manner to Brands President

·  Maintain and update Salesforce data base

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Minimum of5+ years direct sales experience calling on architects and building owners

·  Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering or Building Technology preferred

·  Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision

·  Must be able to read and interpret drawings, and have excellent oral and written
communication skills

·  Excellent PC skills with emphasis on presentation and modeling (Word, Power Point, Excel)

·  Ability to multi-task and provide quick response time

·  Excellent time management skills and highly organized

·  Ability to manage multiple projects against tight deadlines with focus for excellence

·  Experience in construction, manufacturing, commercial real estate, architecture or similar industry experience preferred

·  Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, deadline-drive environment

·  Must have a valid passport and driver’s license

·  Working Knowledge of Oracle Purchasing modules, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

·  Must live in designated territory (Western Canada – TBD).
