Thank you for showing interest in our school. We have a vacancy from January 2018 for a Pastoral Support Assistant to work everyday from 8.30am until 1.30pm. Salary is from Kent range 5£17,827-£19,608 (pro-rata £9933). Due to funding the post is initially temporary until July 2019; however it may be made permanent after this time if funding allows.

St Paul’s CE Primary school is a popular and thriving school located in the heart of the village of Rusthall. The person appointed will be joining a very supportive and well-motivated team.

The post involves supporting the Senior Leadership Team in attaining high levels of behaviour, welfare and attendance. The successful applicant will work across the school providing support and guidance to individuals and groups of pupils in a mentoring capacity. They will actively strive to build positive relationships and raise pupil aspiration. Some liaison with parents and other agencies will also be involved.

The Pastoral Support Assistant will need to

-see every pupil as having great potential and work with them to break down barriers to learning

-have good behaviour management skills with a calm yet firm approach

-have good organisation and communication skills

-be a good role model using our Christian values
