ACCAN Grants Scheme / The ACCAN Grants Scheme funds projects that work towards their goal of available, accessible and affordable communications for all, focusing on creating versatile resources for consumers and a strong evidence base for consumer advocacy activities.
Funds research, representation, or education projects that address issues for communications consumers in Australia. Communications can include telecommunications, the internet, broadcasting and new or emerging technologies. / ACCAN funds projects undertaken by community organisations, small businesses, university researchers or individuals who satisfy the eligibility requirements. Also accepts applications from individuals or groups that have formed partnerships: in these applications one party is nominated as the applicant and auspicing body. / The Scheme carries an annual budget of $250,000 and accepts applications during one round per year. Applicants are encouraged to apply for funding amounts appropriate to their project to a maximum of $60,000 / 2 April 2013 /
Community Broadcasting Foundation Training Grants - Training Delivery / To assist the ongoing development of community broadcasting throughout Australia, through grants for training delivery for broadcasters, staff and volunteers at community radio and television stations in broadcasting & media skills, management & leadership skills and trainer training. / If you are:
* a community radio or television station with a long-term or a temporary licence
* a Remote Indigenous Media Organisation (RIMO), or Remote Indigenous Broadcasting Service (RIBS)
* a community broadcasting sector Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
* state, regional and national community broadcasting associations
Community broadcasting sector-based RTOs may apply for a number of courses on behalf of a number of stations or sector organisations in the same round.
Grants are not available to stations broadcasting under a narrowcast licence.

Community Broadcasting Foundation Indigenous Equipment Grants / Funds are available to assist with establishing or upgrading Indigenous community radio production and/or broadcasting facilities. The grants assist with the maintenance and development of Indigenous community broadcasting throughout Australia. / You can apply for an Indigenous Equipment grant if you are:
* an Indigenous community radio station (licensed Indigenous community radio station or RIBS station). A Remote Indigenous Media Organisation (RIMO) may apply on behalf of a RIBS station but the equipment must be for the exclusive use of one or more RIBS stations.
* an incorporated Indigenous media organisation producing regular Indigenous programs for broadcast on a licensed community radio station.
* an incorporated Indigenous media organisation that produces sector wide resources for the benefit of Indigenous community broadcasting.
Grants are not available to stations broadcasting under a narrowcast license. / A maximum of $25,000. If you have been granted a long term community license within the last two years then you can apply for a maximum of $50,000. Please contact the CBF for more information. / 2 April 2013 /
Community Broadcasting Foundation - Remote Indigenous Program Grants / To assist the ongoing development of Indigenous community broadcasting across Australia through grants to support the production of regular remote Indigenous programs to serve a defined local Indigenous community. / You can apply for an Indigenous Program grant if you are:

Community Broadcasting Foundation Indigenous Special Projects Grants / To support special one-off Indigenous radio programs (rather than regular programs) or radio program resource projects for regional or national use. The grants assist with the maintenance and development of Indigenous community broadcasting throughout Australia. / You can apply for an Indigenous Special Projects grant if you are:
* an Indigenous community radio station (licensed Indigenous community radio station or RIBS station). A Remote Indigenous Media Organisation (RIMO) may apply on behalf of one or more RIBS for program resource projects that benefit remote Indigenous community broadcasting.
* an incorporated not for profit Indigenous media organisation producing regular Indigenous programs for broadcast on a licensed community radio station
* an incorporated not for profit Indigenous media organisation that produces sector wide resources for the benefit of Indigenous community broadcasting.
* a non-Indigenous licensed community radio station may auspice a grant on behalf an unincorporated Indigenous broadcast group provided there is substantial Indigenous participation in the planning and delivery of the project.

Community Broadcasting Foundation Indigenous Program Grants / To assist with program production costs for regular (weekly) Indigenous programs that are broadcast on a community radio station. The grants assist with the maintenance and development of Indigenous community radio broadcasting throughout Australia. / Indigenous broadcasting group producing weekly programs on a non-Indigenous licensed community radio station which is currently:
* incorporated or
* unincorporated but have reached an agreement with a local incorporated Indigenous organisation or non-Indigenous licensed community radio station (auspicing organisation) to receive and report on grant funds on the broadcasting group's behalf.

FRRR - Small Grants for Small Communities Program / Projects and activities that offer clear public benefit for communities, with populations of 10,000 or less, living in small rural and remote locations in Australia, contributing to their development in social and community welfare, economic, environmental, health, education or cultural areas. / Not-for-profit, incorporated community organisations. Organisations should have an ABN or Incorporation Certificate and projects must be for a charitable purpose (benefit the whole community). The grants assist with the maintenance and development of ethnic community radio broadcasting throughout Australia. / You can apply for an Ethnic Program grant if you are:
* a long term licensed community radio station
* a holder of a temporary community broadcast licence (TCBL), or
* an umbrella group (an incorporated ethnic community broadcasting association) representing one or more ethnic groups at a particular station. Please contact the CBF for further information.

* a holder of a temporary community broadcast licence (TCBL) on air for at least two years cumulatively prior to applying. Additional conditions are imposed on temporary licensees with regard to ownership of assets purchased with the grant.

The McDonald’s Queensland Floods Community Grants / To provide not-for-profit community organisations and clubs with equipment or funding to assist in rebuilding after the floods. / Not for profit community organisations/clubs affected by ex-tropical cyclone Oswald only. / 5 April 2013 /
Department of Health & Ageing - Community Visitors Scheme Grants / Support activities that:
• Provide group visits to people in aged care homes;
• Provide one on one visits to people ageing in place who receive Commonwealth subsidised aged care services; and
• Utilise flexible, innovative methods of communication to facilitate interactive relationships between volunteers and care recipients which will allow CVS Auspices to better reach socially isolated older people in regional and remote areas. / Must be a legal entity (incorporated body) to be eligible for funding, and may include:
• Non-profit/charitable organisations/religious organisations;
• Non-government health care providers;
• Government funded health care providers;
• Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander organisations;
• Local community groups; or
• Local government entities. / The total value of funds available under the CVS is $58.3 million over 2012-13 to 2015-16. It is expected that grants will range in value from $15,000 up to $100,000 / 5 April 2013 /
Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR) Grants Program / Provides funding support to competitively selected projects that seek to enhance Australia’s economic, political and social relations with Latin America.
The Council gives priority to funding projects in the following areas:

* Education

FARE Good Practice Grants Funding / Projects that meet all of the following criteria:
• address a current or emerging need or gap in the Alcohol Sector;

The Pierce Armstrong Foundation / The aim of the Foundation is to disburse grants to not for profit organisations whose work is judged to have the potential to improve the lives of the sick, disabled and under privileged; to support research which may contribute to a better quality of life for all Australians and to support artistic and cultural endeavors which will enrich the lives of members of our community.
We are interested in all areas of medical research and in particular research which has the possibility of commercialization where commercialization has the potential to itself support the research organisation in the future and/or assist in retaining talented researchers in Australia. / We look favourably on community based groups which may find difficulty in sourcing government funding.
We will not make grants to non-specific foundations or auspicing bodies or to any applicant where its work is conducted or its funds are applied outside Australia.
We have a preference for Victorian grantees as we can more easily assess their work and the application of Foundation funds. SBS will select Partners whose applications: clearly demonstrate an alignment with the SBS Charter; demonstrate a need for television promotion; and show they can provide SBS with a good quality television commercial (TVC).
