ActivityDescription/Location Day

Girls Indoor Floor Hockey-skills and drills. Open to all Roton Tuesday/Thursday

girls. Plan to meet in the gym on: May 4, 9, 18, and 23.

Origami-Students will have the opportunity to create origami andWednesday

display their work in school. Meetin room 28, from 2:50-4:05.

*Note new day, time, and meeting place!

Jazz Band-Open to all students in the Roton Band. InterestedWednesday

students need to contact Mr. Sousa to schedule an audition. New

members who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, piano,

drum set, and mallets are welcome to audition.

Lego Robotics-Introducesblock programming skills with Lego Wednesday

Mindstorms EV3 software and completes a build of a robot

to perform missions autonomously. Meet in room 201,

from 3-5:00.

Roton Community Foundation-RCF is Roton’s community serviceWednesday

organization. Members are 7th and 8th graders who have already

been recommended by their teachers. Meetings are held the first

and third Wednesday of each month in room 207.

Flag Football- Students meet on the front field, and competeWednesday

in organized games against other Roton students. Meeting dates are

as follows (weather permitting): 4/19, 4/26, 5/4 (Thurs), 5/10, 5/17,

and 5/24.

A.M. Running Club-Students meet each morning (7:15-7:45)). Wednesday/Friday

Meet in the gym, and be ready to run and work out. Wear sneakers

and bring a water bottle.

Extramural Sports

Students havealready tried-out for Roton's travel teams, which will involve competition at each of the middle schools in Norwalk.

Spectators

Spectators are always welcome to attend homeextra-mural events. Students must have asigned permission slip(available prior to each home game), which will then serve as their admission ticket. Transportation arrangements must be made in advance and agreed to by parents.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Session Dates: April 19-May 26

This brochure provides the activity schedule and descriptions

for the after-school/extra-mural programs

for the Spring 2017 session. Most activities meet once each week.

Activities run from 2:50 p.m. – 4:05 p.m.

WHEELS bus tokens will be available to all students who normally

ride a bus. The bus pick-up is4:20. Please note the appropriate WHEELS bus stop may not be the same as your school bus stop. Please discuss the bus stop location with your child.
