Re: Bury Town Challenge – Test the Town Quiz XI

I am writing to invite your organisation to take part in the annual Test the Town Quiz organised by the Rotary Club of Bury St Edmunds Abbey.This year the event will be held on Wednesday 12thOctober at The Apex, Bury St Edmunds. Once again we aim to have a capacity 40 teams and build on the success of previous years.

On the evening the doors will open at 6.30pm and the Quiz starts promptly at 7.00pm, breaking for food and a raffle at 8.00pm. The evening should finish by 10.00pm.I hope you will enter into the spirit of this exciting event and enter your Team into the Quiz.

For those of you who know the event, the format will be the same as in previous years. Each Business sector will comprise teams from local firms, which will compete against each other. The individual Business sectors challenge each other to be the overall winner of the Test the Town Team Challenge Trophy.

The cost of entry for each Teamof a maximum of four people is £100. This includes entry fee and a lightsupper on the evening. A Bar is available throughout the evening.Family and friends can cheer you on the night: a small donation will be requested from spectators who attend. The rules are simple: each Team member must be an employee or member of the organisation he or she is representing. This rule must be strictly honoured to ensure total fairness to all involved.

Please complete the attached reply form and return itas soon as possible,together with your cheque for £100, to the Rotarian shown at the bottom of the reply form. Please make cheques payable to Bury Abbey Rotary Club.

A Raffle will be held on the evening and any items, which you feel able to donate, will be greatly appreciated.

In the last ten years, with the support of local businesses and organisations, we have raised nearly £50,000 for local charities. This year we will be supporting Headway (Suffolk) and Prostate Cancer UK together withraising funds for our own Rotary charity fund that we use to support various smaller local charities and worthy community projects.

The members of Bury Abbey Rotary Club look forward to welcoming you on the night, for what we believe will be a fun evening in support of local charities.
