Set up and Tear down

The facility is available for Weddings and Receptions from 8:00 am until 11:00 pm on weekends, 10:oo pm Monday - Thursday. You can only set up the morning of your event unless special arrangements are made in advance and in writing and if there are no events All events are to end at 11:00 pm (10:00 pm, Monday – Thursday) and the facility must be cleaned and left in the same condition as how it was presented by Midnight. No exceptions. We take care of vacuuming, mopping and cleaning bathrooms.

Decorations and Candles

Decorations should enhance the spirit of the celebration. Flowers used with restraint are in good taste and will provide appropriate enhancement to the ReceptionCenter. No adhesive material, tape thumbtacks, wires etc. shall be used for decorations that will damage the furniture or walls. We recognize that candles are an important part of many ceremonies and are permitted in designated areas only. No candles are permitted upstairs. Do not use duct tape. All decorations, silk flowers, petals, etc will be picked up by the customer both inside and out. Please do not use glass diamonds or decorations will scratch the hardwood floor. Make sure you let those who do your decorating know these rules.

Food and Catering

Rosewood is not responsible for any food served to your guests. Please make sure that you hire a reliable caterer. If you are bringing food in yourself, make sure that it is properly stored before serving. There are refrigeration units in our kitchen for your convenience. You or your caterer will be responsible for setup, cleanup and disposal. Please do not put grease or chocolate (from a chocolate fountain) down the sink.

Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic beverages can be served until 11:00 pm (10:00 pm, mon-thur) at Rosewood as long as guests are not charged for any beverages. If there is a charge, there must be a licensed bartender serving all alcohol and he/she is responsible to adhere to all Idaho State Alcohol laws. If a guest becomes belligerent, or violent, they will be asked to leave.

Furniture and Fixtures

Tables and chairs are included in the price of the rent. Please do not stand on the tables or chairs or let your service providers or guests stand on them. This caused the chairs and tables to be unusable or damages them. All dishes used in the kitchen must be cleaned and put back where they were found.

Photographs and videos are allowed at Rosewood. We suggest that you coordinate picture taking with the reception plans so that guests will not be kept waiting over a prolonged period of time. Please make sure your photographer brings his own equipment – ladders, lights, etc. They cannot stand on our chairs.

Music

Outdoor music needs to be turned off or brought into the facility at 10:00 pm. All music must be turned off at 11:00 pm. We are not set up for bands that require 220 power. The music cannot violate sound ordinance laws. We are located next to a residential neighborhood and if the music is too loud and we receive complaints, we will ask you to turn the volume down. If the police are called, you will be fined $100. The band needs to put something on the floor before they put their equipment on the hardwood floor to avoid damage. You are welcomed to use the piano; however, no children can play on it unless they are playing for the event. Absolutely no moving the piano.

Rice and Confetti

Rice, confetti and birdseed are prohibited on the property. This is due to safety and clean up problems. We suggest using bubbles.

Rehearsals

Whenever possible, rehearsals should take place the day of the event. If this is not possible, special arrangements can be make for rehearsals to take place before the event date. However, rehearsals cannot interrupt other events that have been planned. Please make arrangements for rehearsals a week or so before your event. If a paid event is booked after you have made arrangements, we will notify you for the need to change your rehearsal date. Bookings will always precede rehearsals.

Children

We welcome children to Rosewood, however, they are not allowed to be unsupervised. Receptions usually last about three hours and it is difficult for children to remain quiet and patient. We would suggest providing a quiet activity or book that will help keep them occupied. Child care is not available and should be arranged by the parents or the wedding party. Children aren’t allowed to play or eat on the stairs and cannot go upstairs unless accompanied by an adult. They are not allowed to play the piano unless they are playing for an event. Also, please be aware that the PortneufRiver is located behind the Greenway, which is just behind the grounds of Rosewood. Please make sure your guests attend to their children.

Pets are not permitted at Rosewood unless special permission is obtained. This does not apply to service animals.
