March 5, 2014 Meeting Minutes
· Welcome
Meeting called to order at 6:59 pm. Attendees: Wendy Ojala, Justin Klett, Erica Mehlhop, Rich Sachse, Coach Kevin Adams, Bob Luna, Andrea Strosnider-Green, Barb Dawson, Greg Dahl, Stefani Stuckey, captains Carly Dawson and Sara Stuckey.
· Review of February 5, 2014 meeting minutes
Minutes were reviewed and approved.
· Captains’ Comments
The captains met with Kevin to plan and discuss the upcoming season. One area of focus is team bonding for the entire program. They will be taking over last year’s Twitter and Facebook RHS soccer accounts from the captains for communication amongst the players. Bob Luna will be creating new ones to help build community awareness. They will also be doing some team runs for conditioning this spring.
· Treasurer’s Report
Report was reviewed and approved.
· Coaches’ Comments
· Met with captains to plan upcoming season. Coach Adams continues to hear comments from other programs about the great team chemistry in the program. To continue improving on program chemistry, varsity practice will be adjusted to come back on campus to attend other teams’ games. (varsity practice is at DCTC).
· Tryout times will be similar to last year with a bigger gap during the day.
· May 4 – Soccer fest with RAAA at Irishdome. Players will be helping with stations.
· Parent/player pre-season meeting will be Monday, May 19 6:00 pm
· Homecoming game is 9/23 5:30 against Lakeville North
· One trip to Duluth this year 8/22-8/23/14. JV/Varsity spends the night. Younger teams will also be attending for the day.
· Tryout week is 8/11-8/15. Captain’s practice is 8 /4-8/8.

· The RHS Women’s Soccer program made a $100 memorial to the Alyssa Ettl memorial fund. Alyssa was a Lakeville North girls soccer player who passed away in December in a car accident. President Luna received a thank you card from the family that he shared.
