Dear Liberty Battalion Parents and Guardians:
I am writing to advise you that Liberty Battalion is once again planning two overnight trips this semester on Friday and Saturday, November4st and 5th2016. One group will tour the south Texas Coast at Kingsville and the Central Texas Fort Hood area on our “Military Theme Trip” and the second group will tour the Galveston Coast and Houston area on a “Career Opportunity and Sea Cruise” theme trip. Each group will take part in a variety of fun and educational activities including paint ball.
Interested cadets will be considered for participation in either of these trips based on their academic eligibility, unit participation, and paymentof activity fee, conduct, and space availability.Academic eligibility will be determined by the grading period ending 10/3/16.
The cost of each trip will be approximately $75 per cadet. This fee will include transportation via charter bus equipped with restrooms and video, all meals, lodging and event cost. Please return this letter signed indicating your cadet’s intentions as soon as possible but no later than 12 October and note that payment for either trip is due NLT 21 October 2016. A reservation made should be considered a reservation obligated to be paid. Please consider your RSVP response seriously.
The overnight trip and activities that we have planned for cadets are encouraged by NJROTC program guidance andare very memorable experiences for cadets. However, most significantly, we hope that this opportunity will strongly motivate cadets to succeed grade wise. Please check the box below as appropriate to help us to determine cadet interest for the trips we are planning:
