Purpose and Dimensions
1. Haileybury Turnford Practitioner
To work closely with the premises manager to support Haileybury Turnford in the delivery of our strategic vision.
2. Job Purpose
Ensure that the operation of the schools building grounds equipment meets statutory requirements and supports the development and learning within the school.

  1. With the premises manager ensure the site is secure and well maintained. Unlock and or lock on a shift basis and remain a primary key holder available for emergency.
  2. Support the premises manager to undertake the schools building and maintenance programme.
  3. Assist with the day to day routine of premises management.
  4. Ensure the security and maintenance of the schools vehicles.
  5. Assist the community sports manager when and if required.
  6. To implement all Haileybury Turnford policies and procedures.
  7. To maintain appropriate records and to provide relevant and up-to-date intelligence for the MIS.
  8. To participate in marketing and liaison activities such as open evening and liaison events with schools and community organisations.
  9. Actively promote and demonstrate creativity and innovation in the organisation.
  10. Be aware, understand and act promptly to implement safeguarding duties.
  11. Lead, promote and implement all policies including health & safety and equality and diversity.

  1. Smooth running of the premises that is used extensively for the extended curriculum activities and for community purposes by external hirers.
  2. A site that is well maintained.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  3. Minimum 3 years’ experience of managing a facilities site team.
  4. Relevant trade qualifications including knowledge of health & safety risk assessments.
