Primary Purpose:

To plan, prepare and undertake the delivery of individualised blended training and workplace assessment on our Electrotechnicallevel 3 Apprenticeships programmes.

Location: Local and NationalCollege sites: Beeston

Specific duties and responsibilities:

Factors that will be crucial in ensuring that the learners’ experience on training and assessment programmes and the opportunities for enhanced success are:

•Work in partnership with employers to develop training programmes to meet their bespoke needs.

•Continually develop training and assessment programmes that meet the individual needs of learners and promote achievement at the learners’ optimum pace.

•Contribute to Nottingham College’sunderstanding of employer needs within the occupational sector.

•Contribute to the identification and recruitment of suitable employers/ learners (4 per month).

•Carry outappropriate information and advice, induction to enrol students onto the appropriate apprenticeship programmes.

•Initially assess and Identify opportunities for developing apprentices English and Maths skills on programme and through workplace activity.

•Embed British Values, Equality Diversity and Inclusion and the appropriate professional behaviours into programme delivery and assessment.

•Providing learners with access to comprehensive, efficient and cost-effective assessment and progress review opportunities.

•Assist apprentices with action planning, evidencing progress and achievements through their e-portfolio platform and support apprentices to use of e-learning platforms to develop off-the-job understanding and skills.

•Maintaining effective data relating to individual learners targets, progression, assessment activities and achievement, from evidence generated through training and assessment activity in College or from their place of work.

•Motivate and inspire students to exceed their expectations and goals. Ensure learners produce the highest level of work and are empowered to take ownership of their studies to achieve excellent results.

•Provide on-going information, advice and guidance relating to a range of employment and career opportunities and progression.

•Maintain contract compliance on learner progress reviews and Quality Assurance processes.

•Liaise effectively with internal departments, external bodies including Employers, Managing Agents, Professional Bodies and Industrial Partners relevant to the programme.

•Undertake developments of the curriculum to support the Programme Area and take part in course reviews and course development activities, working with colleagues to improve and develop the courses.

•Attend external and internal meetings, as well as fully contributing to team meetings.

•Support with the internal quality assurance processes of recruitment, on programme learning and assessment and gateway elements for b2b Apprenticeship programmes.

•Work with your Line Manager to identify training needs and actively seek out relevant training and development opportunities to maintain professional knowledge in the subject/sector specialism and occupational competence.

•Comply with all College policies and procedures with particular reference to Quality Assurance.

•Safeguard the wellbeing of learners, including responsibility for reporting child protection matters to the College Designated Safeguarding Team.
