RESEARCH :

  • Pathway study : 1989-1990 : a small scale study under supervision of W.H.O. of seven mental hospitals in Indonesia. A retrospective study on in-patients and their families to trace the “paths” they took in their health-seeking behaviour,before they were finally admitted into the mental hospital.
  • Open trials of Levanxol, Frisium, Aurorix, Survector, under supervision of the Jakarta Study Group on Biological Psychiatry, 1976-1986.
  • Participant in an international, multicenter study : STAMP IL/50771L / 0104, Dec 2000 – Aug 2002, with Astra Zeneca. A double-blind, placebo contolled comparison study on the safety and efficacy of quetiapine (Seroquel®) and haloperidol, as monotherapy of acute mania.
  • Participant in a study to measure the therapeutic and secondary preventive effect on PTSD, using cultural interventions (rituals, puppet-shows, drama and comedy) on people living in the vicinity of “ground-zero”, after the Bali bombing. ( June 2003 – December 2003).
