I worked with university administrators, local stakeholders, faculty, community volunteers, and members of Maryland’s Governors’ Office of Handicapped Individuals to establish the first Eastern Shore Radio Reading Service for Blind and Print Handicapped Individuals on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Working with a community-based coalition comprised of elected officials, academicians, faculty, students, staff, and public radio supporters, we successfully launched the radio reading service for blind and visually-impaired listeners.

I also taught a Technical Writing course to inmates at Eastern Correctional Institute, a minimum security prison in Westover, Maryland.
