Halloween Party

Next week is ECA's Halloween Party at the newly-renovated Edgemoor Club on Sunday, Oct. 28. Children in costumes and parents will gather at the corner of Elm and Exeter at 4:30 pm. and then march to the Club. At the club, we'll enjoy pizza, drinks, face-painting and a costume contest. This is always a fun neighborhood event and a great prelude to Halloween a few nights later!

We could use a few more helpers for the event - we'd love a parent with kids in costume to lead the parade so please contact Linda Simon, , to volunteer. We could also use a few more parents to set-up that afternoon, serve pizza and help with the clean-up. Thanks for your help! Please email Linda!

Robbery at Glenbrook and Manning

Please see a note from Edgemoor neighbor Wendy Block below.

A neighbor on Glenbrook at Manning was robbed today between 2 and 3 pm. No one was home at the time and all of the jewelry was taken. It appears that the robbers were a couple - both in their 50's or 60's. traveling on foot. Caucasian. Man had silver//white hair slicked back, purple colored shirt and jeans. I thought you might want to alert our neighborhood ASAP.

We have also attached for your review a notice we received recently from Montgomery County Police warning us to be aware of criminal transient groups who might be in the neighborhood.

Jimmy’s Stump Removal

Edgemoor’s Jimmy Doll is offering a Stump Removal service to help clean up all the stumps left by the deforestation over the summer. As you know Montgomery Countydoes not have the money and Pepco is not circling back, so anyone who would like the stumps removed can give him a call for a free estimate.
