Rob Reid, President & CEO

Rob brings extensive experience in human services to his current role as CEO/ President of Access Services. He began working at Access Services in 1980 as an entry-level direct support professional, and for the past 18 years has served as President and CEO. In his current role, Rob oversees specialized supports to over 4,700 children and adults in the Eastern Pennsylvania area in partnership with 700 employees, 250 foster families, and over 130 clinicians.

Rob earned his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Eastern University and his Master’s degree in Social Work from the Marywood Graduate School of Social Work. Throughout his career, Rob has been committed to continuing education, and has also mentored dozens of students across diverse disciplines.

Rob founded the Peacemaker Center in Chester County, and was the past Chairperson for the Pennsylvania Association of Resources (PAR), which is an association of organizations that support people with autism and intellectual disabilities. He currently serves on the William Penn Human Services Board, the Bucks County Quality Leadership Board, and is the Vice Chairperson for the Eagle Health Insurance Trust.

Rob has skillfully led Access Services through various phases of transition, change, and growth through his vision and example. For more than ten years, Rob and his family opened their home as Foster Care and Lifesharing providers. Rob’s commitment to celebrating the distinct value of individuals of all abilities has made Access Services a provider of choice in eleven Eastern Pennsylvania counties and an employer of choice for hundreds of individuals as well.

Rob resides in Downingtown Pennsylvania with his wife Judy and their three children where they are active members of the Calvary Fellowship Church.

Sue Steege, Senior Vice President & COO

Sue has many years of experience in human services. She began her career at Access Services in the field of developmental disabilities in 1981 while completing her Bachelor’s in Social Work at Eastern University. After graduation Susan worked as a social worker in a day care center for children at risk in the Boston area. In 2002 Susan returned to Access Services as the Assistant Director of Lifesharing, and in 2007 was promoted to Regional Vice President of Bethlehem Region.

Sue is dedicated to further education and has completed a certification in non-profit management from The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University and is a candidate for a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Cairn University. She also serves on the board of directors at NorthCare a Women’s Clinic in Lansdale, PA and the St. John’s Family Resource Center (FRC) in Willow Grove, PA.

Sue resides in Chalfont, PA with her husband Chuck and their three children where they are active members of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church.

Brenda Boorse, Vice President of Digital Operations and Communications

Brenda has been working in social services for over 35 years. She began her career at Access Services over 35 years ago, working and supervising in direct care. Since then, she has held multiple positions within the organization including Regional Vice President of Delaware Valley, and recently transitioned to Vice President of Digital Operations and Communications. She brings a variety of skills to the organization including business analytics, team-building, and quality improvement.

Brenda has extensive experience in behavioral health and intellectual disabilities. She has supervised Access Services children and adult behavioral health programs, support services for transition age youth, in-home and day services for individuals with intellectual disability, and foster care services. She held a key role in developing and starting up a number of programs including mobile crisis services and teen and peer support talk lines. In her roles at Access Services she has also overseen various projects related to digital operations and communications. She was the project leader in the agency rebranding, led the move to social media marketing, and oversaw the development of the agency’s website. She has worked closely with the IT department on electronic signatures, VOIP, and redesigning SharePoint.

Brenda resides in Harleysville with her husband Mark where they attend Covenant Presbyterian church. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, including two daughters, as well as art and reading. She is part of an artist’s co-op in Quakertown and enjoys showing her art in local venues.

Jess Fenchel, Vice President of Adult Behavioral Health

Jess has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient settings, college campuses and shelters. She has spent the last four years at Access Services, overseeing a number of behavioral health programs including mobile crisis services, teen and peer support talk lines, and services to support adults living with chronic mental illness. She was recently promoted to Vice President of Adult Behavioral Health where she will streamline all the adult behavioral health services for the organization.

Her educational experience includes an undergraduate degree from Messiah College, a graduate degree in counseling psychology from LaSalle University, and course work in applied behavior analysis, as well as a certificate in global trauma. In addition, she is involved with various groups in the Delaware Valley including serving on the MAX Association Board and the Board of the Montgomery Count chapter of NAMI. She is also a facilitator for two HUB groups in Montgomery County that work to bring people from agencies across the county together to address cases of people in crisis or who may be at risk.

Jess is passionate about systemic change, and recognizes the need for greater collaboration in and among systems. She is excited for her new role where she will have the opportunity to facilitate that impact. She resides in Lower Salford with her husband Tim and their three children.

Janice Knowlton, Vice President of Autism and Intellectual Disability Services

Janice has almost fifteen years of experience working in human services. In 2002 after graduating from Arcadia University with a BA in Psychology, she began working in the field of Intellectual Disabilities. In 2004, she joined Access Services and has held several positions within the organization since that time including her current role as Vice President of Autism and Intellectual Disability Services. In this role she oversees a number of programs including Life Community Day Programs, In-Home Supports, and Community Living Arrangements. In addition, she is a registered nurse specializing in geriatric psychiatry and is an active member of the Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association.

Janice is married and lives with her husband Ryan and their three children, Hannah, Alivia and Cash in Warwick Township. Her family attends St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catholic Church in Jamison. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, participating in mud runs, and playing other competitive sports.

Linda Wasilchick, Director of Resource Development

Linda brings more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and local government to her work at Access Services. She began her career working for Delaware County in human services, and was part of the county’s first Homeless Services Coalition. Her career continued at Elwyn, where she served as a vital part of the development team, and at Bancroft where she led a comprehensive resource development campaign. Most recently, she served as Vice President for Resource and Business Development at People’s Emergency Center (PEC), a shelter for homeless women and children in Philadelphia.

Linda has been active with Access Services for almost 20 years, and served on the Board of Directors for multiple terms during the past 18 years. She brings extensive experience to her new role as Director of Resource Development. She has significant experience in campaign planning and execution, development planning, public and donor relations, grant writing and research, marketing and branding, project management and team building. Her expertise includes internal consulting, strategic planning, written communication, media relations, and writing successfully funded proposals.

Linda has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University and a Master of Arts degree from Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. She is active in her local community, serving on the Board of Directors of Great Faith Vision, and serves on the deacon board of Grace Chapel in Havertown, PA.

Linda resides in Haverford Township, where she attends Grace Chapel. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading mysteries, and hunting for antiques.
