GRAMICID - 101
ANTISCALANT & ANTIFOULANT FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS
Gramicid -101 is a liquid antiscalant & antifoulant for reverse osmosis systems. Use of Gramicid – 101 controls inorganic scales of elements commonly in surface, ground and sea water. Continuous use of Gramicid -101 reduces membrane-scaling tendencies thereby giving sustained performance for a longer time and reducing unscheduled shutdowns and cleaning costs.
ADVANTAGEEliminates conventional treatment
Gramicid – 101 successfully replaces conventional treatment of SHMP thus eliminating drawbacks associated with use of the later.
Facilitates maximum recovery
Gramicid – 101 is effective in controlling calcium carbonate & sulfate scales of calcium, barium and strontium.
Allows effective scale control
Gramicid – 101 minimizes scaling & reduces cleaning frequency.
Controls deposition of suspended particles
In addition Gramicid – 101 also disperses silt and colloidal particles thereby keeping the membrane surface clean.
Gramicid – 101 is a non-corrosive liquid miscible in water at all proportions.
Stability
It is chemically stable over broad range of pH and temperature.
Safe for use in Potable Application
Toxicological study reveals that Gramicid – 101 is safe for use in potable application.

GRAMICID - 102
SILICA ANTISCALENT FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS
Gramicid -102 is a highly effective liquid antiscalent, specially formulated for feed water with higher levels of silica and metal oxides. Use of Gramicid – 102 controls silica scales and fouling due to metal oxide thereby giving sustained performance for a longer time and reducing unscheduled shutdowns and cleaning costs.
ADVANTAGEEliminates conventional treatment
Gramicid – 102 successfully replaces conventional treatment of SHMP thus elimination drawbacks associated with use of the latter.
Facilitates maximum recovery
Provide optimum control of feed water with concentrate silica level up to 280 ppm & LSI up to +2.5.
Allows effective scale control
Gramicid – 101 minimizes scaling due to metal oxides & reduces cleaning frequency. Effective over wide range of concentration, such as residual coagulants or aluminum rich silica or iron.
Control deposition of suspended particles
In addition Gramicid – 102 also disperses silt, colloidal particles thereby keeping the membrane surface clean.
Handling
Gramicid – 102 is a non-corrosive liquid miscible in water at all proportions.
Stability
It is chemically stable over broad range of pH and temperature.
Safe for use in Potable Application
Toxicological study reveals that Gramicid – 102 is safe for use in potable application.
APPLICATION AND DOSAGEThe recommended dosage in the range of 1-8 ppm (neat), controls a wide range of inorganic scales along with reactive and non-reactive silica at high levels in the feed water. Our representative shall help in standardizing the dosage.
Dosing of Gramicid – 102 to be done prior to the cartridge filter.
HANDLING, STORAGE & PRECAUTIONSGramicid – 102 is safe to handle but use of safety goggles hand gloves is recommended. In case of contact with skin, wash with copious amount of water.
Gramicid – 102 is stable under normal dosage conditions.
PACKINGGramicid – 102 is available in 20 kg HDPE carbuoy.
GRAMICID - 122
CLEANING CHEMICAL FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS
GRAMICID – 122 is a specially formulated blend of cleaners for the effective removal of carbonate, metal oxide and sulfate scales of Barium, Strontium and Calcium in reverse osmosis systems.
BENEFITS- GRAMICID – 122 is a low pH liquid formulation to remove calcium carbonate, metal hydroxides & sulfate scales of calcium, barium and strontium.
- Adding GRAMICID – 122 in to any membrane cleaning solution results in the achievement of better scales removal, system performance and membrane life.
- Liquid cleaner which allows shorter mixing time.
- Low foam formulation.
- Cost effective program for sulfate/carbonate scales removal.
- No adverse effects with repeated use of solution.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Apprearance:Colourless Liquid
- pH (as is):2
- pH (1% solution):Acidic
- solubility:100% water soluble
CLEANING PROCEDURE
- Prepare the stock solution of Gramicid – 122 using DM water or permeate water only.
- Use dilution ratio of 2-3% in proportion of the total volume of cleaning system.
- Flush the membranes using permeate water or DM water.
- Circulate at the flow rate recommended by the membrane manufacture depending upon the membrane size. Pass already prepared cleaning solution through membranes, Circulate the cleaning solution for 1 – 2 hr. If the solution becomes turbid, prepare fresh solution and re-circulate through membrane.
- Soak the membrane for 30 – 60 minute.
- In multi pass systems, best results will be achieved if each pass is cleaned individually.
- Drain out the cleaning solution and flush the system with DM or permeate water.
- Restart the plant.
There may be some variation in cleaning procedure depending on system conditions. Our representative will help you in designing exact procedure for effective cleaning of your RO system.
HANDLING, STORAGE AND PRECAUTIONS
Gramicid – 122 is safe to handle but safety goggles and hand gloves are to be used. In case of contact with skin, wash with copious amount of water. In case of ingestion induce omitting and get medical attention.
Gramicid – 122 is stable under normal storage conditions.

GRAMICID - 121
CLEANING CHEMCIALS FOR REVERSE OSMOSIS
GRAMICID – 121 is specially formulated blend of cleaners for the effective removal of carbonate, metal oxide and sulfate scales of Barium, Strontium and Calcium in reverse osmosis systems.
BENEFITS- For reverse osmosis system operating on feed water containing barium, strontium apart from commonly encountered hardness salts, there is always potential for scales formation of calcium, barium and strontium. Barium sulfate scales once formed are extremely difficult to remove. Gramicid – 121 effectively removes these barium scales and also sulfate scales of Strontium and Calcium. It also remove organic and dead biological matter.
- Liquid cleaner which allows shorter mixing time.
- Low foam formulation.
- Cost effective program for carbonate/sulfate scales removal.
- No adverse effects with repeated use of solution.
