/ Appropriate trainers / shoes must be worn at all times when playing/training, making sure surfaces aren’t wet. Umpires and captains to inspect ground before play and after rain. / Low

/ Players to be aware of others whilst in the nets. Players must pay attention whilst bowling and fielding.
Batsman will wear full kit whilst batting i.e. gloves, cricket pads, helmets with face guards, box.
Wicket keepers are the only players allowed to wear gloves and external leg guards. When close to the stumps they are advised to wear a helmet however, being over 18 they do not need to, they will also wear a box.
Silly point has no obligation to wear any protective kit however, they are advised to wear a box, a helmet and if available fielding pads under there trousers so they are not visible.
Fielders and bowlers will be vigilant during practice to reduce risk.
Captain will ensure that all players on the field of play or in training have emptied their pockets of hard or sharp objects and removed jewellery.
No student will be allowed to play if they are intoxicated or do not have correct insurance. / Low

Specific to Tours: / Students / All the control measures mentioned above should apply but a clear ‘safety plan’ regarding procedures to follow in the case of emergencies abroad should be in place. Emergency Contact Numbers, First Aiders and First Aid kits etc should be known and in the possession of the Tour leader. All students on tour must be members of the club. / Low
