Dangerous Gifts / Harm to the children / Suitable gift chosen : Selection Boxes for ALL the gifts
Mistreatment/Abuse of Children / Children visiting Santa / All Staff will be DBS checked and Santa will be accompanied at ALL times when with the children . Photos will be taken by the parents or guardians only .
Accidental Injury ,trips and falls / Children, public and Rotarians / A system for supervising the children/families whilst waiting to see Santa. All decorations fixed appropriately both on the walls and surrounding areas . .
Electricity / Bodily injury / The igloo is powered by electricity . The Igloo will be checked and the blower unit PAT tested and measurers put in place to cover any cables /leads .
Unfounded accusations of abuse to visiting children / Santa and helpers / NO children allowed to sit on Santa’s knee . No Inappropriate contact . As already stated No photos and Santa will ALWAYS have an assistant with him at ALL times .
Medil Medical Emergencies / Rotarians and Public / Buttermarket will have their own procedure but we will have a ‘Basic’ First Aid Box on site

- Are the activities of this event covered by the standard RIBI Insurance Policy?Yes (see current “Insurance Guide” and current “Confirmation of Insurance - Public Liability”,

If No, take action to ensure appropriate cover, i.e. consult RIBI Insurance Brokers, Bartlett & Co Ltd.
- Is a DBS check required for any aspect of the activities?Yes (see current “RIBI Protection Policy” available on the RIBI website in the “Downloads Library”.)
Summary of warnings to be given at start of the event: Cash : Cash will be banked after EVERY session to limit the amount on site .
