Rising Country Star Lucas Hoge To Perform At The

Saturday Night Banquet During The 2018 SCI Convention

The SCI Convention has just added top young country star, Lucas Hoge, to the Saturday Night Finale Banquet & Auction at the 2018 SCI Annual Hunters’ Convention.

“Lucas Hoge is one of the top young country artists today and we are excited to offer those attending the SCI Convention the opportunity to hear him perform,” said SCI Chief Business Officer Libby Grimes. “Lucas is the Cabela’s Outdoor Brand Ambassador and the NRA Country Artist July 2017”, she said. “Lucas will perform during the final banquet on Saturday, February 3, 2018, that includes Keynote Speaker Chris Cox.”

“My memories of hunting go back to when I was a kid, and dad was teaching us about respect for the outdoors and the animals that you are harvesting,” said Lucas who is a hunter himself. “It’s about taking advantage of the quality time we spent together when we would go hunting and appreciating what God has given to feed us, as well. I love being in the outdoors as much as possible,” said Hoge. Lucas made his Ryman debut opening for the legendary George Jones, and he’s shared the stage with superstars like Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, and Hank Williams Jr.

Some people are just born communicators and Lucas Hoge with his soulful vocals has that rare gift. Fans know this because Hoge's new album Dirty South ascended to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart during its debut week.

Hoge's title track "Dirty South" is also currently climbing the charts and gaining momentum at country radio. Whether he’s performing for troops overseas, sharing his love for the great outdoors or writing another song for a hit TV show, Hoge has that rare ability to find common ground with just about anyone and draw them into his world.

“I try to either find songs or write songs that I think are going to stand the test of time and really connect with the listener,” Hoge says. “I want every album to be an audio novel that people can listen to from top to bottom that takes them on a journey. I want songs that you can sink your teeth into and actually carry with you.”

Tickets to the Saturday night event are limited and people wanting to attend should buy their tickets as soon as possible. Discounts end December 5th. Passes to the 2018 SCI Convention and tickets to the evening events are on sale and available at www.showsci.org .
