Starting at map ref. 852409 At the east end of Upton- upon-SevernBridge

Finishing at map ref. 863405 in Ryall Meadow cul-de-sac

The path is well used and the walking is easy apart from the steep section from Ryall Recreation Ground to the river bank. It can be muddy and slippery in wet weather and is impassable when the river floods.

On the south side of A4104 at the east end of river bridge Pic (1) a sign post directs walkers south across a small area of parkland then along a short path Pic (2) to a public road and car parking area leading from the A4104, near to the Marina main entrance, to the “old bridge abutment”. About 20 metres diagonally left take a private road Pic (3) south for approximately 70 metres to a fenced track Pic (4) which runs with the Marina basin, on the left, to a steeply humped bridge over the Marina’s exit to the river. Pic (5). Over the bridge continue south to the old Marina boundary Pic (6). This is the start of Ripple Parish Path 516. Follow the path along the river bank, with the flood bund on the left, to a metal kissing gate. Pics (7), (8) and (9). Through the gate a narrow path, between a fence and a tree covered bank, slopes up and then bends left, becoming quite steep, to the southern end of Ryall Recreation Ground. Pic (10). Straight ahead a short narrow fenced track bends right and exits to Ryall Meadow. Pic (11). About 85 metres north east in Ryall Meadow path 518 is sign-posted.
