Liability:In granting this sanction, it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming Inc., Arizona Swimming Inc., The RIO Salado Swim Club, and The City of Tempe and Chandler, and all meet officials shall be held harmless from any and all liabilities or claims for damages by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this meet, which includes warm-up sessions.

Course:Outdoor, 50 meter (8) eight lane course, non-turbulent lane lines, Colorado start and semi-automatic timing system with scoreboard. Warm-up and warm-down will be available at designated times, determined by the meet director, in the competition pool throughout the meet. Arizona Swimming warm-up/warm down procedures will be posted and enforced. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2(C). The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with Article 103.2.3, is 11 feet, 0 inches at the start end and 3 feet, 6 inches at the turn end of the pool.
Eligibility:1.Open to any USA Registered Swimming 2013 registered athlete who is registered as of the meet entry deadline.
2.All swimmers, coaches and officials must be registered prior to the competition and present proof of current registration to the Clerk of Course, if requested. All coaches and officials shall wear their current USA Swimming registration in a visible manner.
3.Swimmer’s age on May 3, 2013 will govern for this meet.
4.This is a non - time standard meet.
5.Swimmers with a disability are welcome to enter this meet. The coach or entry chairperson must alert the Meet Director as to the need for any special accommodations or seeding arrangements.
6.Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a US Swimming member coachmust be certified by a USA
Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the
water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this
requirement.
Rules:1.The current USA Swimming rules of Competitive Swimming will govern.
2.The Arizona controlled meet warm-up procedure will be enforced and posted.
3. This meet will be limited to 350 swimmers. The Referee and host team reserve the right to limit the meet entries, as necessary, to comply with the four hour rule. The host team reserves the right to limit the number of 1500 entries or swim two per lane to control the timeline.
4.All events 200 meters and shorter are pre-seeded, timed final.
5.The 400 IM, 400 Free and 1500 Free are timed final events that require a positive check-in with the Clerk of Course, by the start of the session, in order to swim. Only swimmers will be allowed to positive check-in at the Clerk of Course. These events will be swum fastest to slowest alternating girls and boys by heat. The Referee reserves the right to combine male and female swimmers to create fewer heats. Swimmers must provide their own timers and people to count laps in the 1500.
6.Events for 11–12s and 13-14s and 15 & Overs will be combined (functionally seeded) but scored separately by age group (11-12 and 13–14, 15 & Over).
7. 8 & Unders are welcome to swim in 10 & Under events (the 4 50s) on Friday.
8.Entry times must be the swimmers best LONG COURSE (meter) times, or NT (no time). No converted times may be used for entry purpose.
9. All swimmers are limited to a maximum of THREE (3) individual events per day with a maximum of 9
individual events for the meet.
10. Time Trials will not be offered at this meet.
11. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in the changing areas, rest rooms
or locker rooms.
12. Except where the venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other then in locker rooms or
other designated areas is not appropriate and is strongly discouraged.
