Rigor/Relevance Reflection


Vickie Robinson’s presentation is about how to incorporate rigor into your future classrooms. The material Vickie presented is exactly what your future building principals will be looking for when they come into your classrooms to watch you teach.
Use the information Vickie presented (along with her handout) to write a 1 ½ - 2 page (typed and double spaced) reflection about how you're incorporating rigor into your lesson plans for this placement. Here are the specifics.

·  Give me a brief overview of ONE lesson you plan to teach in the week following Vickie’s presentation. (I don't need an actual lesson plan, just a 1 or 2 paragraph description.)

·  State the objectives (be sure to use verbs from the New Bloom's at varying levels).

·  Describe to me the level of rigor in the lesson using the info Vickie presented. Be sure to discuss the 4 knowledge dimensions as they apply to your lesson.

·  Finally, end the reflection with one paragraph about what rigor in the classroom means to you (in your own words).
