1.Aim and Objectives of the Organization.

-To implement different Govt. schemes under fishery sector.

-To develop skill of the fish farmers by imparting training.

-To transfer scientific and modern technologies to the fish farmers of the district.

-To provide schemes under FFDA for bank finance and own source.

-To provide subsidy under FFDA schemes for encouragement to all category of farmers.

-To augment fish production from available water resources ‘

-To provide an alternate source of livelihood for B.P.L. fishermen families.

-To promote Self Employment Awareness for educated unemployed in the district.

-To actively involve the P.F.C.S. and S.H.Gs. to take part in production enhancement

and income generation process in organized manner.

2 / JUNIOR FISHERY OFFICER / 1. Jr.Fishery Officer have been attached to assist the District Officers in the office as well as in the field.
2.All files relating to technical matters is to pass through the Jr.Fishery Officer.
3.To maintain registers for each developmental programme ,blockwise and to assess the progress and achievement.
4.To take up Block Inspection and 15 days tour in a month to the block ,Banks and Farms.
5.Check up the tour programme and tour diary of Fishery Extension Officers .
6.In the absence of Dist.Fishery Officer, Jr.Fishery Officer is to look after all routine works.
3 / DEPUTY SUPERINTENTDENT OF FISHERY / 1)  Deals with all files relating to technical matters (Inland Extension,Research & Development etc.)
2)  Maintain all registers for each development programme to assist Jr.Fishery Officer.
3)  Preparation of monthly report & returns
4)  Supervision of pond development programme through block and Bank visit.
5)  As per State Reservoir Fishery Policy’2004 declare as authorize officer for enforcement of conservation major .
4 / JUNIOR ENGINEER / 1)  Prepare plan Estimate of F.F.D.A. pond development scheme .
2)  Timely visit the ongoing project s and complete the measurements of all pond development programme.
5 / INSPECTOR OF CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES /
(1)  To organize and monitor Primary Fishermen Co-Operative Societies and smooth implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
6 / SENIOR LABORATORY ASSISTANT / (1)  In-charge of Dist.Fishery Laboratory .
(2)  To collect sample s of soil ,watch aquatic organism as and when required and analysis the same from aquaculture point of view .
(3)  To assist in Induced Breeding and operation of fish seed hatcheries in the district.
(4) To assist for preparation of technical programme, report and returns
7 / FISHERY EXTENSION OFFICER / 1.As per State Reservoir Policy’2004 Fishery Extension Officers are declare as authorize officer for enforcement of conservation measure of the above policy.
2.Responsible for implementation of all pisciculture programme both state and centrally sponsored schemes in the block.
8 / FISHERY SUPERVISOR / 1.Remain in-charge of Fish seed farm fully responsible for meeting the target both on physical and financial expect fixed for the farm.
2.Fishery Supervisor posted in the blocks will perform the duties of F.E.O. in the block.
9 / STENOGRAPHER / In-charge of confidential section.
10 / FISHERY DEMONSTRAOR / Fishery Demonstrator posted in the blocks are perform the duty of a F.E.O. in the block. Fishery Demonstrator posted in the farm are assist Farm-in –charge for management work.

NORMS SET FOR THE DISCHARGE OF ITS FUNCTIONS

1.All Govt. schemes are prepared as per NABARD Guidelines.

2.Subsidy under FFDA scheme is released as per the rules of Govt. of India .

3.Production of spawn and fry/fingerlings as per approval of technical programme by the Dy.Director of Fisheries,NZ,Sambalpur.

4.User fees is collected for preparation of Plan and Estimate as per the guidelines of Govt. of Orissa.

5.Stipend for trainees under FFDA is given as per the guidelines of Govt. of India.
