Arbuckle’s Cat Feeder Menu Options

1) Add New Cat Record – A maximum of 3 cat/cat records is allowed for the product. Simply rotate the RPG to “1” and press the RPG to select the Add New Cat Record option. When this occurs, a sub-menu for this option will display as follows:

First, the software will prompt the owner to enter the following cat’s name:

Then, the software will allow the owner to choose an RFID tag identification number used to identify the cat corresponding to the name:

Keep in mind that the Tag ID must be exactly twenty hexadecimal digits. If an invalid Tag ID is entered, the software will generate an error message and prompt the user to reenter the data.

Lastly, the software will ask the owner to enter the food amount to dispense for the following cat. The amount of food is in units of lbs of cat food.

In addition, once three cat records have been added, the program will generate a maximum list size notice to the owner if there is an attempt to add a fourth car record.

2) Change Record – this option essentially allows the owner to change/overwrite the settings in any of the 3 slots available (cat 1, cat 2, cat 3). Rotate the RPG to “2” and press the RPG to select this option. If there are no cats currently in the list/queue, the software will display a message indicating that no records have been added currently. Assuming that at least one cat record has been added, the program will first display the entire list of records to the user first.

After the record for cat 1 is displayed for 3 seconds, the program will then display the records for cat 2 and cat 3 in the same fashion. This allows the owner to know which cat record he or she desires to change.

3) View Record – the following menu option displays all records in the list. The option is merely for the user to determine the status of the queue. Rotate the RPG to “3” and press the RPG to select this option.
