The PB dryer is a twin tower heat regenerative desiccant dryer which removes moisture from compressed air by adsorption.

2Standard scope of supply

2.1Major product components

  • Two pressure vessels
  • Galvanized interconnecting pipework.
  • Silicagel desiccant, with a bottom layer of water resistant beads.
  • Pneumatically actuated butterfly valves with stainless steel discs.
  • Side-channel blower out of die cast aluminium, with IP55 protection rating.
  • External electrical heating elements with IP54 protection rating.
  • Elektronikon Mk5 control system with operating display.
  • Electrical enclosure with IP54 protection rating.
  • Pressure transducer on each vessel.
  • Temperature sensors to monitor key operating temperatures.
  • Separate pilot air filter with pressure regulator, analogue pressure gauge and block valve.
  • Pressure dew point sensor with IP54 protection rating.
  • High efficiency filter on the dryer inlet which removes oil aerosol, wet dust and water droplets with a total mass efficiency of 99.99 %, and has a downstream ISO 8573-1:2010 air purity of class 2 for total oil.
  • Dust filter on the dryer outlet which removes dust, particles and micro-organisms with a count efficiency of 99.92 % at MPPS and has a downstream ISO 8573-1:2010 air purity of class 2 for particles.
  • Sonic nozzle, to be installed downstream of the dryer in order to protect the desiccant from high air flow velocities.
  • NEMA4 cover for the Purelogic unit.
  • Optimized purge nozzle for a different working pressures
