Date new versions publishedFebruary 2007

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2011.

Summary of review and consultation process

The qualifications were amended as a result of a review of industry training requirements for the Paperboard Packaging (Carton) sector of Fibreboard Packaging. This review included a full review of unit standards as well as all other components of the existing training programmes.

A meeting was held in July 2006 and involved PrintNZ Training and a wide range of industry representatives. As a result the qualifications were altered to take account of the changes made to the unit standards and to align them with current business practices.

It was agreed that the Paperboard Packaging (Carton) qualifications would be reclassified into the Fibreboard Packaging subfield. The unit standards contained in these qualifications have already been reclassified in the Carton Converting domain following their review.

The review process has resulted in the following changes to the qualifications.
