Summary of review and consultation process
These Reo Māori Media unit standards were reviewed as part of the NZQA Māori Qualifications Services review cycle. There is limited usage of these unit standards. The NZQA Māori Qualifications Services and the whakaruruhau are aware of the low usage of the standards and are looking at promotional strategies to increase the uptake. Amendments have been endorsed by the Reo Māori Media whakaruruhau at a hui held on 28 November 2008.
Main changes resulting from the review
- The titles of some standards have been changed.
- Special notes have been amended and range statements have been added to some of the standards.
- Amendments have been made to elements and performance criteria throughout the standards.
- Unit standard 20708 has been designated expiringand will not be replaced due to the difficulty faced by candidates in accessing the video production resources required.
The unit standard categorised as category D will expire at the end of December2010.

AMAP 0166 has been updated to reflect the changes made to the standards.
