April 14th, 2017

Congratulations on being selected as a 2017-2018 Parkview Cheerleader! Being a Panther Cheerleader is an honor and a privilege, but it also comes with many responsibilities for you and your parents. We will have our annual celebration party in the Parkview Cafeteria on Monday, May 8th at 5:30 PM. You will need $5.00 cash to eat. Also, you MUST bring a check made payable to PCBC for $75.00. This is a deposit for our camp in June. Your sponsorship and Spirit Cup fundraising money are DUE at the dinner also. No late packets will be accepted!! We will begin our parent meet and greet at 6:00PM.

1.  Your first responsibility as a cheerleader is to share this letter with your parents/guardians. Please make sure that they mark their calendars with the date of our first Parkview Cheerleading Booster Club (PCBC) meeting. We will meet on two nights at 6:00PM. This is a MANDATORY meeting for one of your parents/guardians to attend. The agenda will include information regarding important dates and commitments. In addition, they will be paying for apparel and camp, so they will need to bring their checkbook (multiple checks will be needed) or credit card. Also, a calculator is recommended.

●  Returning Families to the program: Monday, 5/15 @ 6:00 PM in Parkview Theater

●  New to the program: Tuesday, 5/16 @ 6:00 PM in Parkview Theater

2.  Second, you must attend one afternoon session to be fitted for your uniform and camp clothes. Please follow the schedule below. Do NOT come early – you will not be allowed in the dressing room until your assigned time. Wear appropriate under garments as you will be trying on uniforms in open areas of the locker room. This means bloomers, please!

Tuesday, April 25th: ALL cheerleaders must report to the base of the stairs to the Cage in the Parkview Gym (according to the schedule below) to be fitted for uniforms. Again, while you’re waiting, you may work on homework in the gym.

*All underclassmen on Varsity squads may report to the stairwell in gym by the cage and work on homework until their assigned time. Do NOT be wandering the halls after 2:30. ☺

●  Be prepared to take your uniforms home and safely store them. You are financially responsible for them. Remember, uniforms may not be altered without written permission from your coach. When getting the uniforms altered, please ask that NO material be cut!

3.  Next item of business . . . Each cheerleader will have the opportunity to offset the cost of your dues through two ways.

1.  Sponsorships: Sponsors to be listed on the back of our ‘sponsor t-shirts.’ You will receive Sponsor Forms at uniform fittings. Each ad is $75 and up, and you will need to turn in all funds raised to Mrs. Thomas on Tuesday, May 9th at the kickoff dinner. The more ads you sell, the more money you will save on your cost of apparel and camp!

2.  Spirit Cups: You will receive Fundraising packet/forms at uniform fittings. All fundraising packets/forms/money are due to Mrs. Thomas at the kickoff dinner on Tuesday, May 9th. The more products of the catalog you sell, the more money you will save on cost of apparel and camp!

****We MUST have your money in by the deadline, or your parents may not be able to subtract your ‘earnings’ off of their bill at the May meeting.****

****If you choose not to participate in these opportunities to help YOU, do not complain about the cost of your dues.****

4.  Check your emails daily! Your coaches and the Booster Club will be sending you and your parents information frequently via email. Not checking your email means that you will NOT know something . . .and that’s not an excuse. Thanks!

5.  Finally, make sure that you have the following dates on your calendar. They are critical!

April 25th Uniform/Clothes Fittings (see schedule above for times)

May 9th Sponsorship Money and Spirit Cups money DUE AND Kickoff dinner- 5:30
