Resurrection Realities

Part 3 – Nothing is Impossible II

Mark 1:37
"'For nothing is impossible with God.”

Main idea
During the last few weeks we have discussed in further detail what Jesus’ resurrectionmeans for our own lives. Last week we talked about how nothing is impossible for God. The resurrection means that miracles are possible, but miracles will look different in different seasons.

1. The season when you receive the miracle

There will be seasons in your life when the miracle is just God doing what he does; there will be no real effort on your part. In these seasons, the only thing you need to do is receive and express gratitude.

Q:Take a moment to reflect on the miracles you’ve been given. What did they look like?

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

2 Corinthians 9:8

2. The season when you walk out the miracle

There will be other seasons in which you will be required to do work. Sometimes you will plant seeds and trustGod to provide the rain, strength and wisdom for harvesting. The miracles still happen; they just look different because you are taking an active role in seeing them come to pass.

Q: What thoughts do you wrestle with during timeswhen you must walk out the miracle as expressed in the verse below?

“On the day after the Passover, on that very day, they ate some of the produce of the land, unleavened cakes and parched grain. The manna ceased on the day after they had eaten some of the produce of the land, so that the sons of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate some of the yield of the land of Canaan during that year.”

Joshua 5:11-12

3. The season when you are the miracle

Finally, the cycle of miracles always ends with you becoming a miracle. God has a way of allowing you to experience your own miracle so you can pay it forward and bring hope to others who may be going through similar circumstances.

Q: When has God used a difficult circumstance to mature you?

“He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.”

Job 5:9

Summary: Understanding why seasons change

God is interested in your growth. He wants to mature, develop and transform you from the inside out. He wants us to move forward because, ultimately, it’s not only about us but the others who need to know there is hope and that miracles do happen.
