Context
Concern Universal is an international development organisation working with partners and communities around the world to tackle poverty. We support practical solutions that enable people to improve their own futures. With the support of local people, schools and business, Concern Universal is an effective award-winning organisation making a positive impact on people’s lives.
Our community work in Africa, Asia and Latin America focuses on five key thematic areas: food security and sustainable livelihoods; better health;respect for rights; skills development; and reducing vulnerability to climate change. We are constantly learning from these activities and sharing lessons both within and outside of the organisation. Understanding the impact that our work has on people's lives is paramount. We do this through monitoring and evaluating our projects, and assessing longer term impacts after our project funding has stopped.
This volunteer internship offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work for a growing international development organisation, whilst gaining practical experience in shaping the way international development charities measure the effectiveness of their work.
