• Maintaining a Maintenance book in which defects are recorded by Staff Members. Use this book to effect repairs/replacements daily.
  • Responsibility for maintaining stores, equipment and tools.
  • Assisting/supervising with deliveries to the Home. Monitoring delivered goods closely.
  • Responsible for maintaining the garden and court yard areas.
  • Making sure that all windows are cleaned regular.
  • To assist with manual task as required including the moving and setting up of furniture within the Home.
  • To work as a member of the Maintenance team and to carry out such other duties and responsibilities compatible with this post as may be required.

Education/Research

  • Participate in in-service training and personal development.
  • Participate in line management supervision.
  • Promote and maintain good user involvement in services and care plans.
  • Participate in induction of new staff.

Clinical Governance

  • Work with others to ensure quality standards are set, monitored and reviewed with reference to evidence based practice.
  • Participate in Clinical Audit activity across Danshell.
  • To ensure that all tasks undertaken relating to maintenance, facilities management and housekeeping are undertaken with records that can be maintained and audited.
  • Undertake specific clinical governance projects as specified.
  • Facilitate and support user involvement in service delivery/development.

Security

  • Take all possible precautions to safeguard the welfare and safety of staff, patients, visitors and the public.
  • Ensure security & environmental risk policies/procedures are adhered to and provide guidance and support where necessary.
  • In conjunction with other professionals, establish and maintain a safe working environment.

General

  • Performing any other comparable tasks requested by the Site Services Manager or above. Encouraging the ethos of the unit.
  • Achieving and demonstrating agreed standards of personal and professional development within agreed timescales.
  • The above mentioned duties are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required to undertake other appropriate duties as required, within the grading of the post and the competence of the post holder.
  • The job description will be reviewed on an ongoing basis dependent on the needs of the Unit. Any changes will be fully discussed with the post holder before implementation.
