AIM OF THE COURSE:
To enable students to make an informed start on project work.
To make students aware of the research sequence. i.e. the steps need to be followed
To make students aware of the appropriateness of the range of available approaches to research
GENERAL LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of this course, all students will have developed knowledge and
understanding to produce high quality thesis which will include
1. An appropriate methodology
2. A thorough bibliographic search
3. A depth of analysis and conclusion
4. A high standard of presentation of the thesis.
On successful completion of this course students will have also developed skills in
5. Presenting articles and/or case studies
6. Making library and on-line database search for articles
7. Using technology
On successful completion of this course, all students will have developed competencies in:
8. Having understanding of how to produce a project.
9. Demonstrating the use of learning resources, and learning autonomously.
10. Working in a group.

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER COURSES
It is central in developing a comprehensive knowledge about research and applying it to other courses.
LEARNING / TEACHING METHOD
Class lectures / presentations will be delivered to explain the topic. Substantial time will be also allocated to practical workshop sessions.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Each student is required to work as part of a group and produce a thesis at the end of the semester. Throughout semester, each group member will produce individual and group work. They will collect information about their specific topic. Chose an appropriate data collection technique. Collect data, analyze and present that data.

ATTENDANCE
Attendance is compulsory and absenteeism more than 20% of classes will be graded as “F”.
Students with poor interest, poor attendance and lack of data are graded NG.
