Please submit this form and your accompanying supporting letter to the Chaplaincy at least THREE WEEKSbefore the start of the exam periodfor which you require religious observance arrangements. Incomplete applications and forms returned after this deadline may not be processed.
Please note that you must apply for Religious Observance for each examination period.
It is your responsibility to provide a supporting letter from your faith leader which will be reviewed by a relevant member of the University Chaplaincy Team. The University Chaplaincy Teamis not able to provide this letter.A supporting letter is required for each Religious Observance application.

Notes to students

  • Religious observance in the context of this form is when a student’s faith requires them to be absent from the University campus at specific dates/times.
  • To receive religious observance arrangements, you must submit this completed form and your supporting letter to the Chaplaincy at least 3 weeks before the start of the affected exam period. Forms submitted after this deadline, incomplete forms and forms submitted without a supporting letter may not be processed.
  • Where it is possible to make arrangements students must sit their examinations at the times and locations specified by the Exams Office. You will not receive special arrangements if you sit your exam in the main venue listed in the exams timetable.
  • If there are any changes to the modules you are taking after the submission of this form it is your responsibility to inform the Exams Office as soon as possible.
