REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL – FEMALE HEALTH AWARENESS ACTIVITY IN COLLEGES

INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
Greenstar is an affiliate of Population Services International (PSI), a global health organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world. Greenstar was established in 1991 as a non –governmental organization under the company name Greenstar Social Marketing Pakistan (Guarantee) Ltd. The company works through both private and public channels towards improving health care in Pakistan.
Greenstar Social Marketing was established with a goal of increasing access to health services and information, particularly among low-income women, through private sector franchise clinics.
Greenstar is Pakistan’s largest private sector NGO offering a range of over 20 socially marketed products and services for family planning, reproductive health, mother and child health, tuberculosis, nutritional supplements for children and safe water. Greenstar’s products are distributed through a nation-wide network of over 7000 franchised clinics, 75,000 retail outlets and community based distribution. The private sector social franchise health outlets are strengthened by Greenstar’s training and health services team, which enhances skills of services providers and quality of services.
OBJECTIVE
Greenstar Social Marketing (GSM) is seeking proposals for Female Health Awareness Activity. Following are the objectives which should be elaborated clearly in submitted proposals.
  • To create awareness among ‘females’ about the family planning
  • To enlighten the students about the link between health and family planning
  • To promote POOCHO helpline
  • To educate the youth i.e. future mothers about family planning
  • To attract traffic to nearby Sabzsitara Clinics

SCOPE OF WORK
Agencies are expected to present the following in the proposal:
  • Selection of the institutes & girls colleges, where activity will be performed
  • Permission of the college will be taken after the approval from Greenstar
  • In this activity a presentation will be given to the studentsregarding grooming, health and hygiene by a doctor. (as atake away message that ‘Greenstar Cares’)
  • Beautician will also be there to give beauty tips to thestudents to keep them simple but good looking
  • To create interest among females a skin analyser will be usedto show the status of their skin for Moisturize or Dry skin
  • Subtly the message of Family Planning will be given by thedoctor

Cost Proposal Variables.

Following are the possible cost variables for your reference.
  1. Project Supervisor.
  2. Female Doctor
  3. Male/Female promoter.
  4. Male/Female Helper.
  5. Audio/Visual support
  6. Generator, transport and other indirect cost.

TOTAL BUDGET:
Open budget: To be discussed after selection of the proposal. However, the agency is required to give an estimated budget for the proposed strategy document.
Selection Criteria
Criteria for selection may include, but are not limited to (in no particular order):
•Relevant expertise of developing and implementing similar campaigns. Demonstrated capacity and expertise to execute the activities, and experience of undertaking similar assignments.
•Well-developed strategy and creative ideas to engage the TG.
•Innovation and creative ideas in response to the proposal.
•A well developed, detailed, budget.
•Value for money will be an important consideration in the evaluation of the proposed budget, and therefore Vendors are strongly encouraged to provide as much detail in their proposal as they can on how they have developed their budgets and the efforts to secure the best price.
PROPOSAL REQUIREMENT/TIMELINES
Proposal submission will be expected within shared timeline. Only shortlisted agencies will be called for formal presentation after proposal review.
Agency to submit the brief presentation and proposal about the approach and strategy.
