Terms and Conditions:
NUS Co-op only prints course packs under the conditions and according to the terms stated below.
- For compliance with Clause 52 of the Copyright Act, the requestor must submit a S52-A/S52-B[1] form for the course pack materials copied from EACH book/journal. These forms may be submitted through fax (67730602), email as attachments () or in hardcopies together with the course pack materials. Forms submitted must be signed. These forms must be duly filled in as any missing information may cause unnecessary delay in the printing of the course pack.
2. The requestor must ensure that the course pack include NOT more than
-10% of the contents of a book/journal, or
-a chapter of a book, or
-one (1) article from a journal
so as to comply with Clause 52 of the Copyright Act (Cap 63, Rev. Ed. 1999)[2].
3. If more than 10% of the contents of a book/journal, or more than a chapter of a book, or
more than an article from a journal is to be included in the course pack, the requestor
may seek copyright clearance from the copyright owners or through CLASS at
and submit a copy of the approval to NUS Co-op for
recording purposes.
4. The requestor must submit to NUS Co-op a set of the course pack materials in either
hardcopies[3] (non- returnable) or softcopies. Hardcopy course pack materials are to be
submitted at Forum Branch and softcopy sent to .
5. The requestor must submit the course pack materials and all the related S52-A/S52-B
forms at least two weeks before the course pack is required. In the event that the
relevant forms are incomplete, a lead-time of more than 2 weeks
will be necessary.
6. NUS Co-op reserves the right to decide on the quantity to print and the selling price.
Course packs may be categorized as “print-on-demand”, that is, course packs will only
be printed upon receiving customers’ orders.
