SUMMARY
Keeps the school building and school offices in clean and orderly condition and tends furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for employees or students by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, wax, dust and vacuums assigned area(s).
Scrubs and disinfects toilet doors daily and cleans drinking fountains, urinals, toilet bows, and other fixtures daily using such materials as will keep them in a clean and sanitary condition.
Wash windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year.
To be on duty when events are scheduled outside of the regular school hours (if requested).
Empties trash and garbage containers.
Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting and other related maintenance activities.
Replaces air conditioner filters.
Notifies school officials concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk.
Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers.
To perform other duties as assigned by the head custodian.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

SUMMARY
Provides for the general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and physical plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares work orders for each job assigned indicating site, nature of job and completion date of work.
Compiles a list of materials and supplies needed for each job
Provides emergency services in the overall area of maintenance as needed.
Conforms to all laws, policies and practices of safety in the workplace.
Provides for cleanliness in the assigned work area.
Develops a system for dealing with emergency repair problems.
Establishes and recommends priorities on repair projects.
Consults with the building principal regarding the establishment of energy conservation programs.
Examines buildings on a regular basis to insure compliance with energy conservation directives.
Reads blueprints.
Performs job specific services as required in the following areas:
Electrical
1. Assumes primary responsibility for the safe condition of lighting fixtures, electrical apparatus, fixtures, wiring, and similar electric elements in the facilities owned or operated by the school division.
2. Supervises all electrical repair work performed by division personnel.
3. Instructs custodians and maintenance workers on proper methods of procedure and proper use of tools in electrical repair work.
Plumbing
1. Performs skilled work on a journeyman level in the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing facilities
2. Repairs and maintains water, gas, oil and sewer pipes and lines.
Mechanical (general)
1. Carries out maintenance tasks assigned for repairs to buildings and equipment
Heating/Air Conditioning
1. Installs, maintains, and repairs a variety of heating, ventilating and a/c equipment
2. installs and maintains electrical control systems
Carpentry
1. Performs skilled work that deals with maintenance and repair of buildings, structures, and fixtures including the following: doors, door locks, cabinets, shelves, partitions, floors, windows and tile.
2. Operates woodworking equipment and machinery.

SUMMARY
Performs mechanical maintenance on school buses, school board vehicles and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs assigned duties in the diagnosis and repair of automotive equipment.
Performs maintenance and repair tasks following manufacturers' manuals.
Responds to emergency calls on vehicle failure.
Prepares a standard work order on all jobs performed listing time spent, parts used and other items as required.
Inspects all vehicles not less frequently than once a month, make necessary repairs and files a written report on the repairs. Provides for all vehicle inspections according to school board policy and State law, and to make necessary repairs with appropriate reports written for each inspection completed.
Observes high standards of safety.

SUMMARY
Provides health care services to students by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plans school health program, in cooperation with medical authority and administrative school personnel.
Participates in medical examinations and reviews findings to evaluate health status of pupils and progress of program.
Instructs classes in subjects such as child care, first aid, and home nursing, and establishes nursing policies to meet emergencies.
Cooperates with school personnel in identifying and meeting social, emotional, and physical needs of school children.
Administers immunizations, provides first-aid, and maintains health records of students.
Dispenses medication following school policy and procedures.
Operates and maintains the school clinic.
Counsels students in good health habits.
Works with community agencies in planning facilities to meet needs of children outside school situation.
Assists in program for care of disabled children.
Provides parents with school health forms so that the findings of the family physician or other pertinent health data can be reported to the school.
Prepares a list of students who have specific health problems that might require modifications of physical activities or seating arrangement in the classroom.
Reports significant student injuries, accidents and illness trends to the building principal.
Checks pupil attendance and reports incidents of extended or illegal absence to school administration. Makes telephone calls to home to determine reason for absence.
Notifies parents regarding illness or injury. Maintains a file of emergency phone numbers or other ways to contact those in parental authority.
Provides supervision for sick or injured pupils until they are placed under their parents' care.
Completes local and state school reports as required.
Documents and files accident reports.
Attends meetings with the school administrators when required.
Consults with attendance teacher and staff members concerning a variety of health factors related to nonattendance and communicable disease.
Assists the Principal with the preparation of the school health budget.
Recommends by requisition building equipment and supplies to the Principal.
Orders, inventories, and oversees the storage of first aid and related health supplies and equipment
Approves early dismissal for health reasons.
Respects the confidentiality of records and information.
Obtains physical examinations for students referred for special education.
Implements OSHA and blood borne pathogen policies and procedures.
