I HAVE BEEN ASKED BY OUR SECRETARIAT TO MENTOR THE FOLLOWING ASSOCIATIONS:

-FOR BETTER AND EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION I HAVE FORMED GOOGLE GROUP COMPRISING THE PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY OF ALL THE ABOVE ASSOCIATIONS IN ADDITION TO OUR FPTA PRESIDENT AND FPTA SECRETARY.
NOVEMBER 2016
-PAPEREX SOUTH AN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION ON PAPER INDUSTRY WAS HELD AT CHENNAI BETWEEN 11TH AND 13TH NOVEMBER 2016. THANKS TO THE PUBLIC AWARENESS COMMITTEE WHO HAD GOT A STALL AT A VERY VANTAGE POINT FOR FPTA IN THE EXHIBITION! THE FPTA STALL WAS INAUGURATED BY SHRI RAVI RATHI, CONVENOR OF THE PUBLIC AWARNESS COMMITTEE. SHRI VISHNU KANT RATHI, VICE PRESIDENT, SHRI R. RAVICHANDRAN, MEMBER OF PUBLIC AWARENESS COMMITTEE WERE ALSO PRESENT. I WAS ABLY ASSISTED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE MADRAS PAPER MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION IN MANNING THE FPTA STALL FOR THE ENTIRE 3 DAYS! WE HAD DISTRIBUTED PHAMPLETS TO THE VISITORS DETAILING THE FACT THAT PAPER INDUSTRY DOES NOT CUT FORESTS AND THEY PLANT MORE TREE THAN THEY CUT FROM FARM FORESTERY. WE ASLO EXPLAINTED THE ROLE OF FPTA IN THE GROWTH OF PAPER INDUSTRY.
-TO KICK START THE ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATIONS, ON 29.11.16 I HAD SENT A MAIL TO ALL THE PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY OF ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED ASSOCIATIONS GIVING THEM SUGGESTIONS ON THE MONTHLY ACTIVITIES THEY CAN CARRY OUT FOR THIS YEAR. OUR FPTA PRESIDENT SHRI SAMJIBHAI KARIA HAS APPRECIATED THIS INITIATIVE.

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
ALL THE ASSOCIATIONS ALLOTTED TO ME ARE QUITE ACTIVE. THIS IS EVIDENT FROM THE REPORT OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATIONS WHICH HAS BEEN MAILED AS AN ATTACHMENT TO THIS REPORT.
I THANK MPMA, PRESIDENT, SECRETARY AND THE MEMBERS OF THE MANAGING COMMITTEE OF FPTA FOR HAVING GIVEN ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE AS A VICE PRESIDENT OF FPTA. I SHALL DO MY BEST TO MOTIVATE ALL THE ASSCOIATIONS IN GENERAL AND THE ASSOCIATIONS ALLOTTED TO ME IN PARTICULAR TO BE ACTIVE!

FPTA 55th AGM held at Mumbai was attended by 40 members from our Association. All members, Past Presidents, Vice Presidents, FPTA MC Members actively participated in the AGM
Out 64th AGM was held on 28th September 2016 at E Hotel, Express Avenue Mall.

2nd MC meeting was held on 18/10/2016, FPTA 55th AGM was reviewed, eight subcommittee were formed.
Diwali Celebrations was held at our Association Premises on Wednesday 26/10/2016. Mr. Siva Subramanian. Founder Director of SAS Strategydelivered speech on Goal Setting.
November 2016
Childrens' Day and Family get to gether function was held on 20/11/2016 at Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. Association members 25 family participated, total 100 participantswere there. Various games and shows were held. Actor Vimal and Actor Robo Sankar were the Chief Guests and they gave away the Prizes.
Monthly MC meeting was held and various thing were discussed.
December 2016
ChristmasCelebration was held in our Association on Wednesday 21/12/2016, Rev. Fr. Antony Papuraj was the Chief Guest, he spoke about Christmas, our fellow members Greeted all on the occasion.
Monthly MC meeting was held on the same day prior to the ChristmasCelebration.
THE SIVAKASI PAPER MERCHANTS ASSOCIATION
OCTOBER 2016
1) On 25.10.2016 we conducted the Annual General Meeting of our Sivakasi Paper Merchants' Association.
2) During this month, we renovated the main hall of our Association buildings and Air-conditioned the sameat the cost of 12.00 lac rupees. The hall has a seating capacity of 125 persons. The very first meeting in theair conditioned hall was our AGM
3)we have decided to do pooja on SANKATAHARA SATHURTHI day on every month at our Ganesh temple
4)we also decided to install a pole for hoisting our National Flag on 15th August and 26th Jan as suggested by our senior member Shri V.H.Dahimaji
NOVEMBER 2016
1) We have done the civil work for raising the ground level of our Association building by 2 ft above the road level with paver blocks
2) We installed a stand by generator at cost of Rs.2.3 lakhs in our Association buildings
3) We had a meeting among the office -bearers and planned to have a Mill visit to TNPL Unit2 in the month
of December. We also got the permission of mills to visit on 17th December 2016. Our members around40 nos registered for the mill visit.
4) We also decided to celebrate New years eve with family in our Association on 31st December
DECEMBER 2016
1) Unfortunately, we had to postpone the mill visit scheduled on 17th December due to the rumors aboutthe uncertainty in the health of our former Chief Minister Shri.M.Karunanidhi.
2) On Dec 17th we organized Sankatahara Sathurthi pooja at Ganesh temple at our Association buildings
3) As a part of New year celebrationarrangements, we fixed the Patti Mandram programme of DevakottaiRamanathan and group. We are taking the registrations of our members participating in the New years eve.
MADURAI PAPER TRADERS ASSOCIATION
- 55TH AGM & Conference hosted by Mumbai Association was attended by 18 members of MPTA.
- Conducted our MPTA meeting on 03/Oct/2016 @ Hotel Western Park and 27 Members were present at the meeting.
Discussions were on our current market scenario, Review of FPTA AGM-Mumbai, Preview of GST was made by our President – Mr. Sankar Narayanan and it was well noted by our members.
- Diwali wishes were shared among our members.
- Details regarding PAPEREX – Chennai were shared among our members.
- Demonetisation issues, impacts and awareness were shared among our members in detail.
- We have planned for a Mill visit to West Coast paper Mill and Talks have been started from our West Coast Paper Mill Dealers and Mill people.
- Regular Monthly meeting are been done among the EC Members.
TRICHIRAPALLI DISTRICT KAGITHA VANIGARKAL NALA SANGAM
Reports for the last 2 quarters are as follows.
1) Successfully conducted the Annual general meet, on July 2016.
Some highlighted events on the AGM are:
Made a grand family get together with their kids, started around morning 9.00 A.M sharp whole day committed with various functions like Debate conducted by ERODE MAKESH with kalakapovathu yaru troop aranthangi NISHA and Dr. PALANIYAPPAN, followed by ANNUAL MEET REPORT and QUERIES SECTION, followed by kitchen special CHEF DHAMU for one hour, followed by Dr SREE PRIYA advised on female health habits, followed by Kids SELFIE CORNER, followed by kids, stag, couples GAMES and price distribution and snacks and dinner.
2) All INDIA FEDERATION MEETING has been represented by our association members held at MUMBAI, 2016.
3) DEMONETIZATION issues impacts and awareness function has been conducted on November 2016 by Auditor SRIVATSON, three hours evening program in which all the pros and cons of Demonetization in India was discussed. Also GST IMPLEMENTATION has been discussed.
4) Regular MONTHLY meeting is conducted every month 2nd Saturday at our premises. All the recent updates are being discussed over here.
FUTURE PLANNING:
1) Regular GST Update Meeting has been planned which will be conducted on every 2nd Saturday till GST is being implemented. The purpose will brush up all the Members all will be useful to plan their TAX STRUCTURE.
2) Due to DEMONETIZATION issue our traders are facing money issues. So regarding this we have started up with payment solutions deal with PAYTM and any other mode of payment which will be possible with all our traders in future, discussion with banks are on progress.
