4Installation and Upgrade

This service pack is a part of the Telephony Server installation package. It contains a complete package of Manager Telephony System.

For further instructions, please see the installation and upgrade documentation for the Telephony Server in the O&M documentation.

To make post installation changes, run the ts_conf_install script, which will give you a GUI with several options of changes. For instance, you can change between HTTP and HTTPS and you can change authentication method between Manager Provisioning and Linux.

If you are unable to login after an upgrade, check the following:
- If Manager Provisioning is running on the same server and you are using Manager Provisioning, run the mp_config command and select the “Manager Provisioning repair” option to restore the previous MP database.
- Run the ts_conf_install script and select the Authentication Method option and reselect the wanted option. This may be needed especially when the Linux method is wanted since it is the Manager Provisioning method that is default and the setting may have reverted to the default one.

Note:
If you need to make a reinstallation of the Telephony Server / Manager Telephony Server, unlike previous instructions, you DO NOT need to uninstall Manager Provisioning and the CSTA Phase III Web Services Application first if it runs on the same server any longer.

Note:
The Aastra Mobile Client web service interface requires Manager Telephony System to run in a secure HTTPS mode.
