1. Introduction & Rationale

[Enter any background or history relevant to the development of this pathway tariffs proposal. Include any relevant facts or information to the proposal. Include the benefits of recognised tariffs for the Faculty’s students such as immediate/direct entry points without having to present individual AwC applications, whether it widens access for the Faculty’s students, etc. Consider International students, is there any significance for international students who might be able to use existing qualifications to access UK degrees. Faculty’s should also consider whether there is scope to capitalise on collaboration with existing or new partners, whether this will generate further income and what marketing opportunity there may be for Anglia Ruskin University.]

2. Methodology

[Briefly explain the process undertaken by the proposing Faculty Team to complete the proposal. This could include the process used to complete the mapping exercise, the logic/assumptions used throughout the proposal or any other useful information that will help the panel to understand how the proposal was completed.]

7.Currency of the Anglia Ruskin Curriculum

[It is usually within the previous 5 years prior to the student’s expected start date. Although for professional qualifications and roles there may be exceptions. These would need to be explicitly stated and explained. Outside the 5 year period, evidence of updating is sought.]

8. Mapping of specific external courses[briefly outline the proposed courses]

8. 1. [Title of external course]

[Outline external ‘’course’’ in detail]

[Complete in conjunction with one Pathway Tariff Mapping Table, one Pathway Tariff Technical Requirement document and one Operational Checklist for each external ‘’course’’]

[Identification of general and specific credits: clearly identify the volume and level of general and specific credits to be counted towards the credit requirement for the pathway – a HND may offer 180 general credits but the specific credit value may only justify 100, 120 credits.]

[Appropriate level: prior learning credits must be within the appropriate level and map onto the modules or strategic outcomes of the receiving programme.]

[Variations in offerings: consider the variations in offerings from external institutions for ‘’courses’’ awarded by the same awarding body such as Edexcel for HNCs/HNDs. Consider options with the external award and how they map onto the pathway tariff.]

[Options or indicative sets of modules: consider the options or indicative sets of modules within the Anglia Ruskin pathway and requirements. Take into account the University’s academic regulations and the two thirds rule for prior certificated learning to be no more than two thirds of the total credit requirement for the receiving pathway.]

[Credential evaluations: may need to be sought when evidence of credit level and volume or Institution may need to be checked.]

[Level of achievement: consider whether you need to define the level of achievement, is a pass sufficient or does the prior learning require a pass with Merit or Distinction.]

[Professional Body Elements: consider exemptions from parts of the pathway due to professional body recognition or examinations or anything else.]

8. 2. [Title of course-see points from 8.1]
