Lesson 10: Attitudes that he build unity amongst Christians

ANSWERS

a.Philippians 2:2 (a) “then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one spirit and purpose.”

- Being like

We should think the same way according to the Bible.

b.Philippians 2:2 (b)

- Having the same love

We should love God with all our hearts and love one another.

c.Philippians 2:2 (c)

- Being one in spirit and purpose

We will have the same kinds of spirits, such as the spirit of sacrifice, the spirit of giving, the spirit of wanting to help non believers to know Christ etc. We should also have the same purpose and vision: that is to fully enlarge God kingdom and build a glorious church which is His will (Ephesians 3:10, 5: 26-27)

d.Philippians 23 (a)“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.”

We should be humble toward others by considering others better than ourselves.

f.Philippians 2:4 “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

We should always be sensitive to the needs of others and look to the interests of others.

g.Philippians 2:5-9 “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8being found in appearance as a man, he bumbled himself and became obedient to death- even death on a cross! 9God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name: We should imitate the Lord Jesus Christ by being sacrificial, humble and being willing to serve others.
