Reimbursement for Oregon Foods:

For all items listed under Reimbursement for Oregon Foods: $36,000 (84.5% of budget)
This was based on costs for our school district’s average purchases by line item in 2012-2013 School Year and used to forecast estimated costs.
The formula we used to calculate this was: [1379 average daily lunches served] * [174 days lunch is served] * $0.15 reimbursement = $36,000. Remember, however to use the entire two year duration for the days lunch is served.
Garden-Based Educational Activities

For all items listed under “other” reimbursements: $6,975 (15.5% of budget)
Farm to School Program Education & Family Activities: $750
A portion of our farm to school program budget to implement activities described in the grant proposal.
School Gardens: $750.00
Cost to maintain school gardens at (two elementary schools) and to provide technical assistance and support to our high school’s garden development.
High School hydroponic garden supplies: $450
Estimated cost for Net pots, indoor lighting, rock wool, Hydroton, bubblers, and aquariam pumps - to be used in classroom F2S education.
Cost to install Herb garden in cafeteria for science class: $775
High School irrigation system: $3,700
Estimated cost for irrigation system for greenhouse and outdoor garden to be used in classroom F2S education.
