Mayor called meeting to order at 6:00PM

Public Comments: None

APPROVE AGENDA: Motion by Mike Bovey, seconded by Paul Schlader to approve the agenda. Roll call vote: Mike Bovey aye, Paul Schlader aye, Glen Hibbs aye and Dan Millward aye.

APPROVE MINUTES: Motion by Mike Bovey, seconded by Paul Schlader to waive the reading of the minutes and approve the minutes of 5-10-17. Roll call vote: Mike Bovey aye, Paul Schlader aye, Dan Millward aye, Glen Hibbs aye.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

FOLLOW-UP WATER DISTRIBUTION:Mike Stanton informed the council, regarding distribution project, only a few valve boxes were left to be raised and repaving needed to be completed.

Dale Schneider informed council Cascade Pipeline will start repaving on June 6th, 2017.

Dale also discussed the City has received 25 claims out of approximately 40 known residence affected with the water hammer incident. I.C.R.M.P has been working with those involved and have heard good reports from those involved.

NEW BUSINESS

AIRPORT WEED-EATER: Dale informed council the airport needs a new weed-eater. Dale has talked with Napa Auto Parts who are willing to give the City a 10% discount for purchase. There was discussion among the council on whether to purchase a 2-Stroke or 4-Stroke weed-eater.

Motion made by Dan Millward, seconded by Paul Schlader to approve the purchase of a 2-stroke Stihl weed-eater from Napa Auto Parts. Roll call vote: Mike Bovey aye, Paul Schlader aye, Glen Hibbs aye and Dan Millward aye.

MARSHALL'S REPORT: See Report. There was discussion regarding how many miles over the speed limit a person can do before a citation is issued. Dan Millward was please to hear all officers are taking the EMT-Basic class.

MAINTENANCE REPORT: See report. Mike Stanton reported that ½ of sidewalk removal has been completed on the west side of the road. They will continue working until complete.

There was discussion regarding the purchase of gravel. Mike is waiting for Quote on pricing.

The lubricated pumps were discussed regarding the value of pumps and whether to sale for scrape or sale as is. Mike will be contacting companies for their opinions to sale or scrape the pump and look for possible sale to one of these companies.

EMS AND FIRE REPORT: See EMS report. Dan Musgrave informed council the EMT class is going well. In regards to the fire department there have been no problems and everything has been quiet.

Dan discussed a meeting he had with the Lewis Co. Sheriff regarding the Active 911 system that has the capability to page personnel to calls via their cell phones. Reported cost by sheriff's department is $500.00 for installation, $200.00 per year for licensing and $12.00 per year per phone to use. Dan advised there are approximately 30 people with fire and ems. He also stated this would be available to LEO's also.

KYRA REPORT: Dan Millward informed council there are two little league teams and everything is going well.

WATER LEAD WRITE-OFF REQUEST – WARRINGTON: See letter.

Motion made by Dan Millward, seconded by Paul Schlader to approve water write-off in the amount of $42.41 due to running toilet. Role call Mike Bovey aye, Paul Schlader aye, Glen Hibbs aye, Dan Millward aye.

PARADE/CATERING PERMIT – RODEO PARADE PERMIT: See permit.

Motion made by Dan Millward, seconded by Glen Hibbs to approve parade permit for rodeo club. Role call Mike Bovey aye, Paul Schlader aye, Glen Hibbs aye, Dan Millward aye.
