Dear Parent/Guardian:

This letter is to notify you that your child must attend summer school for the subject(s) checked above in order to be considered for promotion to 9th grade. Students re-test May 12, but results will not be available until the end of the year. You will be notified if your child does NOT need to attend summer school by June 4th. Please complete this form and return it to your child’s teacher by Friday, May 11th.

ACCELERATED INSTRUCTION

This is a five-day tutorial designed to prepare students
for the STAAR assessment in Reading. / STAAR Reading

ABSENCES/TARDIES: Regular attendance is required. Students may NOT be absent more than three hours.

DRESS AND GROOMING: All students attending SAISD summer school will be required to comply with the dress and grooming policies of SAISD. Students are expected to dress in uniform as they would during the regular school year.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation will be available to and from the student’s home campus and summer school site.
