The Abilene Kansas Chapter will be hosting an ICD-10-CM Refresher Workshop presented by Brenda Edwards, CPC, CPB, CPMA, CPC-I, CEMC Coding and Compliance Specialist, KaMMCO on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Brenda has extensive experience in coding and billing. She currently works for KaMMCO where she performs chart auditing, coding and compliance education, writing articles for coding publications, as well as articles to KaMMCO’s publications and website. She is also the past chair of the AAPC Chapter Association Board of Directors.

This is a follow-up session to the two-day Boot Camp Brenda presented and will include a limited review of guidelines.

Brenda will be going over several ICD-10-CM Chapter-Specific Coding Exercises. You will receive the ICD-10-CM Proficiency Assessment Workbook as part of the registration fee. You will need to bring an ICD-10-CM Manual, highlighters, sticky notes, pens/pencils, notepad, etc.

The presentation will start at 9:00 am with registration and a continental breakfast being served at 8:30 am. There will be a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm which will be on your own. Brenda’s presentation will adjourn by 4:00 pm.

The location for this event will be at the AbileneMemorialHospital at 511 NE 10th Street, Abilene, KS67410. You will use the North entrance of the building which is labeled as the Comprehensive Pain Solutions entrance.

Registration fee is due by April 17, 2015 in order to attend.
