After school clubs for the SummerTerm 2015

Dear Parents, Here is the information for the after school activitieswe have on offer for nextterm. We are very pleased that Beavers and Funbuilders will continue after school on Monday and Friday. Some parents have enquired about the possibility of gymnastics continuing. As it has been so well supported, we are able to do this. Maths Magic Club is something new and promises to be very engaging. After half term we will hopefully be able to provide another school funded club on Wednesdays. Our expectations in terms of behaviour are the same as those during school time and children may be asked to leave a club if their behaviour is deemed dangerousor spoils it for others.Children are expected to get changed (if required) and sit down and wait quietly for the club to begin. Please complete and return reply slips as appropriate so that we have an idea of how many children will be attending, along with any payment due if your child would like to take part.

Breakfast Club Update

Dear Parents,

We have had a positive response to the possibility of running a breakfast club from 8.00am to 8.45am from Mondays to Fridays to help parents in the mornings, and to provide a healthy and active start to the day. The final costs we have been offered by Premier Sports are £2.75 to use on a daily basis, £2.50 for a termly commitment and £2.26 for a year’s subscription. The children would take part in light activities such as yoga, tai chi, games, multi-sports and exercises over the week and the club would also provide a breakfast of cereal/toast/fruit and a drink.

Based upon the replies from those parents who said they would definitely use the club on a regular basis, I am pleased to announce that we will be running it for a year to see how take up increases. Initially, the school will be using part of a grant to subsidise any unused places so that we can provide this facility for parents. We are committed to running the club at least for one full school year.

Many thanks for your help and I hope this will prove a valued and well used facility. Please sign up for places indicating which days your child will be attending. Please include a cheque for the appropriate amount made payable to Premier Sports. Those wishing to use the club on a daily/ad hoc basis may pay cash on the day. The first session will be MONDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER, and not the Thursday or Friday before. Premier Sports will send out the appropriate paperwork to those taking part.
