“In the backdrop of All India Struggle & Strike Action called by both of our Apex Bodies i.e. AIUCBEF & AIUCBOF against the onslaughts of the management in attending to curve the basic trade union rights and infringe upon bilateralism & adopting contentious attitude towards employees and officers, we both the State level unions under the direction of our Apex level Federations held a meeting on 1.10.13 in the office of UCBSU and formed the Joint Action Committee, W.B and also formulated the Joint Action Programmes as under:

As per the instructions of our All India Federations the memoranda as prescribed by the apex bodies will be submitted to the Zonal Managers jointly by both the Unions on the following dates:
On 3rd October – Deputation at Suri Zonal Office, Burdwan Zonal Office, Saltlake Zonal Office, Hooghly
Zonal Office, Circle Office, Kolkata
5th October 2013 – Kolkata Zonal office, Howrah Zonal Office
7th October 2013 – To General Manager, HRM at Head Office – I
It has also been decided to hold mass meetings of our membership in each and every zone after the festive periods is over. We have also called for ‘Withdrawal of extra co-operation in administrative offices on and from 8.10.13, the day when the entire officers and employees under Chennai Circle are going on strike.
Comrades, West Bengal has always remained as the torch-bearer of struggles and sacrifices. We have confidence in the strength, courage, conviction of our members who have always risen to the occasion whenever time demanded for them. We believe that history will be re-created in UCO Bank through this joint movement of AIUCBEF & AIUCBOF and victory will be ours only. MARCH ONWARD TO STRUGGLES AND STRIKES.
