Aug / At Homes
Aug 29th / Cilcain Show (Bank Holiday Monday) We had a nice dry, though a little crowded, place in the hall last year. Volunteers required. This is a surprisingly well attended show, since it features the organized run over Moel Fammau.

Caerwys Agricultural Show. (Gill) A good start to the day at Caerwys on 11th June. Gill got there early to set up and was joined by Rosie, Betty, Yvonne and Chris. Thanks to all for giving their time. Not a good position on the field this year, but we were warm and dry, almost to the end, when a heavy shower made packing up more difficult than usual.

At least one lady took details of our meetings, so not a complete washout. She has alpacas!!!

Next show is August 6th at Moel Fammau, closely followed by Bryn Eglwys on 7th.

Llysfasi may have asummer fair before the end of term, which is usuallya great day!August Bank holiday Monday is the Cilcain show. Very popular,as it is on thesame day as an organised run over Moel Fammau. Please try and support a show close to you. Even if you can only spare a couple of hours.

Liz andAnneli with partners, enjoyed a freebie weekend in the East End at the beginning of June doing whatthey love best. They were taking part in a GrandFest organised by the Royal Voluntary Service celebrating skills 'older' people have and showing this to the general public in venues all around the central part of Spitalfields and it's fantastic market. It included things like jam making, gardening, bread making, wood turning and of course, Liz doing wet felting and Anneli handweaving and many, many other activities.A truly great event which was really well supported
