Call to Order by Chairman Marchand at 7:30 PM.
Attendance: Glenn Albanesius, Hans Andersen, Peter Bakker, JR., Moe Gabelmann, William Marchand, Brenda Schaufler, Tim Sullivan. Also Debbie Angell. (Absent Joe Beadle and Carol Hewitt.)
Approval of Minutes:
Personnel, July 25: Motion to approve by Brenda Schaufler, second by Moe Gabelmann. Approved.
Board, July 25: Motion to approve by Brenda Schaufler, second by Moe Gabelmann. Approved.
No meeting in August.
Treasurer’s Report: July and August: Motion to approve by Hans Andersen, second by Moe Gabelmann. Approved
Administrator’s Report: Debbie Angell gave an overview of activity since the last meeting (2 months ago). Annual reports have been forwarded to DEEP and the respective towns; storm water permit was extended two years, working on conformance issues; fence going up in solar area; accepting quotes for security cameras; Attorney Zimmerman will be at the October meeting to update all on the Superfund status; traffic flow patterns are improving with restructuring of the yard area; continuous improvements in the year area.
Committee Reports: Personnel
Committee updated Board on a few concerns to be acted upon under new business
Old Business:
Solar: Ironed out fence placement, currently being installed without hindrance to RRDD1.
Pension: Resolution motion by Brenda Schaufler, second by Tim Sullivan to change Trustee from Jim Hart, Administrator to Current Administrator of RRDD1, in this case, Debbie Angell. Passed
New Business:
Incentive Program: Under review by Personnel Committee, as it needs updating. (Currently all employees receive award except the Administrator). Motion by Brenda Schaufler, second by Tim Sullivan to give a 40 hour week vacation bonus to Debbie Angell. Passed
Personnel: Motion by Tim Sullivan, second by Brenda Schaufler to give Robert Langlois a one-time increase in pay of $.50 per hour due to additional job duties. Passed.
Superfund Testing: Attorney Zimmerman will be at the October Board meeting to update.
General Permit: Extended two years
MIRA Tour: Waiting for date
Policy updates: Tag Sale Shopping/ Mattress Recycling Daily Limits/ Sales on site. Motion by Tim Sullivan, second by Brenda Schaufler. Discussion. Passed
Security Cameras: One quote in, need to add two additional cameras: scale software and safe. Debbie to look into getting at least two more quotes.
